I know thats a joke split, but I am not mad at charlie at all. He seems like a nice guy, and good for him he is going to get paid. I hope detroit severley over pays him. No big we will get for the mle was a complete player, and cv is not a complete player....their interrior defense will be horrible. And Ben Gordon might just be the most over rated player in the game.

Well the one positive would be it would be one less suitor for Andy potentially. And if Charlie signs for just slightly more then the midlevel, at least it sets the market for the upper echelon power forwards on the FA market. We need OKC to offer Millsap. That would be very nice for our chances with Andy too.

I feel like CV is just going through the process. You don't just jump at the first offer. You check your options, gauge interest and try to get teams into some competitive bidding to drive up your value. If he wasn't being courted by other teams, I would be a little worried. I think the Cavs are still poised to land him, if they want to.

Eh, I'll wait and see, I don't blame Charlie for checking out his options. They'll still have to overpay Gordon to get him there to keep the Bulls from matching so I'm curious to see how much they offer Charlie. I'll be baffled if an overpaid ex-teammate Gordon and a million more are strong enough bargaining chips but then again, I don't pretend to know what goes through people's heads.

CV isn't going to sign with the first club that he meets with or that calls him.

I'm sure Detroit will make him an offer. We'll see where it goes from there.

Also, did anyone see the headline on that story? :chuckles: "Gordon, Villanueva Land In Detroit". They meant their plane landed there. It sounds like they signed though. Way to go RealGM.
