Billy Preston: Most likely the next LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It would be so nice if Cavs actually lucked in some real talent, a la Whiteside... Why not, we get a lot of shit in terms of what players do with themselves here, we can for once get some luck and get a guy like this who turns out amazing and our pick who is a hardworking player to surpass the usual nonsense we got from Dion, Bennett, TT, Hickson etc.

I'd wager that he would've been a lottery pick had he played in college last year. Definitely a 1st round pick unless he had busted. Ranked #20 in the 24/7 composite last year. I remembered him on draft night and was surprised he wasn't picked. There was a lot of good talent that went undrafted. Glad the Cavs picked up some of it.

He’ll yeah. Imagine catching an actual break for once.

Holy shit...we have so much young potential on this team...

and we also have LBJ!

This is going to be a fantastic off-season.

watching clips of this guy he looks like the real deal in terms of talent. With his frame he could be a legit stretch 3/4 and looks like he can block some shots also

Great work by Koby, I’d almost lock him up now as a developmental piece, no need to mess around.

And then you remembered who our coach is. :chuckle:

What I noticed most was how comfortable he was with his handles. Very few guys his size dribble with that much confidence. Most dribble hunched down or with their head down.

Billy Preston and Trevon Duval not being drafted were both surprises. Billy was a mystery to scouts but Duval's medical issue with his left eye sadly cost him millions, as that explained why he was an abysmal shooter and although his low IQ floor game didn't help either. Luckily he's caught on with the Rockets as well.

Looks like Anthony....Rudolph or Randolph, the former Baylor player.

Now he looks like he isnt a total pussy or anything, but I definitely need to see more before believing he is anything more than a wasted talent.

Do you mean Perry Jones from Baylor? Or Anthony Randolph from LSU?

Assertive Perry Jones actually isn't a bad comp.

Aren't Jones and Randolph the same guy? Neither of those guys had an edge it seems Billy Preston wants it more then those 2. Although now I'm just waiting for us to find a Theodore Logan to sign. Then the summer league could turn into an excellent adventure.
