Am I seriously the only one that cringes when he shoots? And his decision making at the end of the game is terrible....

He is absolutely better than rondo but Garland can't get back fast enough in my mind.

To be clear I like the kid and he absolutely has potential. And he should absolutely keep getting minutes. But the shot selection has got to stop

I seriously don’t know what you expect a player who’s on a 2 way contract who literally helped us win 2 games this week. Gotta be real with your expectations and based on what he has provided the Cavs so far he is clearly exceeding those expectations. 9 assist last night is very solid and hit a crucial 3 in the 4th qtr I mean what more can you ask. I only cringe when rondo comes in he is bad like putrid bad

Nothing wrong with his shot selection in recent games. Someone has to shoot the ball, and we have a bunch of bricklayers out there anyway.

I'd rather have Goodwin taking 3pt shots than Okoro, Mobley, Stevens or Rondo.

Right he is a player on a 2 way contract.. why is he trying to take the last shot of games? And they arent good shots.....

Go rewatch last nights game, he forced almost all of his shots last night. To include the airball with 5 seconds left....

You know we once lost a game to a 10 day contract player taking a shot over LeBron as a game winner...whatever happened to Sundiata Gaines. GOAT Jazz player

True. But they just went for it on that last play and let their best handling guard (him) try to create. They didn’t call a timeout and run a play.

Either way it worked out.

Only issue I have with his shot/recognition etc… is it’s clear he has to be completely set in order to knock down a good look. When he moves and shoots he’s not at that level…

But in that scenario that’s where I’d actually like Stevens getting to a spot and raising up… Don’t believe he was in there tho?

It worked because Love got fouled, not because anything goodwin did. In that situation he cant be the one trying to take the shot there, especially a shot that is clearly not in his repertoire.

I think you put it a lot better than i did though, when it comes to shot recognition. I would say half the shots he took last night were shots he just isnt capable of hitting on a regular basis right now.
 

Solid game all around shots that he missed were either open or unforced shots couldn’t be any happier with his game last night. Especially for our 3 supposed to be stringer. Kudos Goodwin keep it up

The sample is WAY too small to say that.

People seem to have no problem with Okoro firing away from the corners even though we have a huge sample of him not hitting shit. And this guy was a #5 pick. SMH

For a guy who came out of nowhere, Goodwin has been fantastic.
