Still set me out 35 bucks with shipping. Will have to see if they take returns or exchanges.

Keep it. A "retro" Delly jersey will be the coolest thing to wear to games when the Cavs are contenders in a couple years

My take on the trade: There are currently more teams "competing" (or lack thereof) for the #1 pick in the draft, than there are teams trying to get to the playoffs. Get to the Playoffs, see where we go from there. This team needs to start winning and i think that winning will do more for the development of our young guys / betterment of our team, than adding another young player will.. even long term.
All aboard the Deng train.

I predict he shoots under 40% in his first game with the Cavs. Any takers?

Interview with Deng after practice. Hopefully a longer/better one will be up on Cavs.com later. Really well-spoken guy, seems to have a good attitude & understanding of what the Cavs are about.

Luol Deng tells the Tribune: "I'm not upset with the organization but we never asked for $15 million."

This is awesome. Makes me hopeful that we can re-sign him for an affordable price.

First 2k ranked match dropped 31 with Deng effortlessly.

But to keep thread on topic Deng will make the Waiters to the bench move more bearable in my eyes. Also CJ breaking records doesn't hurt. Also Gee gone helps double lol

Seems like a leader and absolute professional.
He has Jamison's nice guy act, except it doesn't seem phony to me like Antawn's was.

EDIT: I also chuckled when he was talking about the plays and said "The offense is not hard to figure out."

This isn't directly solely at you, warriorsz, because you are certainly not the only member here to post something like this or even feel the same way... but this line of thinking has to stop, now.

I realize the front office probably isn't thinking this way (at least, I hope not), and we as fans are in a unique position because our thoughts and opinions on the way the team is built are irrelevant, but it's been almost 4 years and LeBron is still lording over this franchise in some capacity. He was a great player for the Cavs. He left. If he comes back, he comes back. This team isn't, and shouldn't, be making moves to try and entice him to come back.

Again, I know it's different for us, but doesn't make anyone at least a little sad that the "LeBron Safari" thread has over 400 pages? It's a shame, really.

(Sorry, rant over)

I wasn't saying this move was to entice LeBron? I said this was a move that could entice LeBron to come back if we finish the season strong. This was a move to make the Cavaliers a better team, not for LeBron. But I would take the best player on the planet on my team... Also, I said even if we don't get LeBron we will still be in a good position for success. I never said this move was for LeBron?

"The offense is not hard to figure out"

He already knows Mike Brown doesn't run jack shit for plays. hahaha

Wow, I really like Deng's demeanor. He is alot more personable than I thought he would be.

Honestly, every single comment about how this will help, or not help, Lebron coming back is what keeps me from posting much in this forum. It's infuriating. We had him for many years, enjoyable years, BUT THEY ARE GONE. We've acquired many great pieces, while some projects, others are budding all stars, and some of them ARE ALL-STARS. We can do this without the ghost of our past coming back.

Honestly if there was a way to just block every post mentioning Lebron in a Cavs-related thread I would click it in a second.

I've been watching every game this year, and the Deng pick-up makes huge sense to me. I'm excited to see someone with such great defense, and ability to drain the corner three (which we haven't had since an alright Anthony Parker)- join this line-up. Let alone he's a vet that always seems to play hard. I was wondering when the Bulls were going to blow up this team they left rotting waiting for D-Rose to return. Glad we were there to grab a piece when they did.
