Browns 2018 Season Reboot Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Reported on NFL network that AB left the stadium after he left the game with a knee injury. Pass.

The thing about a guy like that is that you don't want to give him a lot of money upfront in case he either 1) continues being a dickhead, or 2) decides to "retire on active duty", and become a lazy piece of shit. So, you'd want an incentive-based contract. But if you give him one of those, then he's going to be causing all sorts of locker room issues if he doesn't think he's getting enough passes thrown his way.

Ate we talking about Brown or OBJ?

Our loss has created the demise of Pittsburgh. Just as we planned.

Grown men out here acting like 15 year old girls. Poor baby isn't getting enough attention? Dudes been hanging out with Drake too much . . .

Brown. OBJ is still toung enough that you know the talent will be there for a long time. Brown may decided to cash that last big paycheck and get fat/lazy.

Are people actually of the belief that the Steelers are going to cut him?

C’mon guys...

When the tantrums get worse, the distance from the organization is frigid, and they realize they save $15 million by cutting him after June 1st, it’s an option they will at least discuss.

He’s going to be 31. He isn’t 27.

It’s not likely, but it’s also not completely outside the realm of possibilities.

Given his contract and the burn book on his personality and drama-creation, the list of suitors via trade may not be as extreme.

Colts, 49ers, Jets, Browns, Ravens.

They won’t trade inside the division so remove two.

I think every effort is going to be made to smooth this over between now and March. He has a $2.5 million roster bonus at the new league year.

If they think this can be salvaged at all, they will retain him. Ben only has so much left in the tank.

But when the day comes that it’s not and they decide to part from him, I think cutting him isn’t completely out of the question.

Zero percent chance

Getting nothing for him and opening the possibility of coming here or to Baltimore?

Or New England?

Lol. C’mon. It is in fact out of the realm of possibility.

The amount of 1st's Steelers would want from us vs a NFC team would be astronomical.

I would be shocked if they release him.

This is the same organization that dealt with Lev Bell without release or trade.

When Big Ben is done that team will be in full rebuild and I hope they don't get lucky going about it.

Shit, the trading of Brown will jumpstart their rebuild. Someone will pay up.

That Ravens loss is looking a lot more fun in hindsight, as it's leading to the complete implosion of the Steelers.

When sex offender frankenstein retires or goes to another franchise? Then things get even more interesting.

I remember the Steelers franchise being a 50/50 matchup prior to him coming there and playing the role of Elway of the Alleghenies.

He's a one trick pony, but his one trick is pass protection. Trade him to a team desperate for pass protection like the Texans or Broncos if Austin Corbett is ready.

Tretter playing well and staying healthy all season is a positive, but I feel like Dorsey has a plan in place. Tretter becomes a free agent in 2019, same time Ogbah and Randall hit the open market.
