Browns and the 2023 NFL Trade Deadline

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kirk has already said he’s not waiving his NTC.

And that’s his prerogative, ya know?

Some guys aren’t really in the business of moving their families/uprooting their entire lives in what other people on the outside would say is in the name of winning.

I mean, things change though. When he said that there may not have an opportunity out there that interested him…

What viable upgrade backup QB is REALLY available, and not just a BS fan speculation?

No one?

Like if they wanna get stupid and give up a 3rd for somebody’s backup like Brissett or Tyrod, obviously those teams would do that, but that’s not really worth doing.

Well, why can't a team hand out a 'Berry' style of favor to us? The veteran Brissett, you deserve to start in this leage, go fill in for Cleveland as a favor for a 5th round pick.

And all honesty, you're extremely overvaluing these potential trades for backup QBs. In no world is Brissett worth a 3rd rounder.

Of course he isn't. But there's no incentive for these teams to trade away their backup QB unless they get a deal they can't refuse.

Like Washington is still in the mix at 3-4. It's entirely possible they end up actually playing Brissett if Howell keeps struggling.

It probably isn't worth them unloading the guy for a 5th round pick.

The one incentive I fall back on is paying respect to the said player. Berry is my example offloading Dobbs to go start in ARI. Brissett, in my opinion, deserves the same treatment if opportunity is there. Maybe if Washington was trending way down. Brissett is my only option here considering he comes right in and knows the system.

Unfortunately, the deadline is in 9 days :ugh:

That's rough. 3rd & 7th only seems like a price you'd pay if Watson wasn't going to play again this season. I don't think you can give that up if you believe Watson is fine in two weeks. You probably just have to try and grind it out.

I think below is most up to date...
