What are you talking about depth signing?

That's not a depth signing. 10 mil guaranteed is starter money.

2018 CB depth chart will likely look like this.

Carrie, Mitchell, McCourty
BC, 2nd round pick, Wilson

He's definitely CB2.

I bet Taylor and McCourtey are both gone.

is he?

if so i assume this takes fitzpatrick off the board at 4?

Given them being all over the map, it's hard to discount any position at 4 among the top guys.

Except running back, probably.

I always thought BCC was a plus in the slot, apparently a feeling not shared by Brown's management. Carrie started all season for Oakland, athletic, 25 years old or so. The secondary needs an influx of talent. If he's truly better than BBC, then the contract seems reasonable. Only are QB room is weaker, though linebacker needs a depth upgrade as well.

Way too much.

I'm not happy with Dorsey just flinging money away. Please tell me I'm not the only one.

He is front loading allot of these contracts. The 10 mill is due at signing it says, so its a bonus. You can take that year 1 against cap and not pro-rate it.

I think Dorsey's when he said he is using all the cap money is to take all the signing bonuses against the cap year 1, front load, and leave a ton of space for the future too.

Its what we should have been doing with cap space all along the last 2 years.

And what cap hell is KC in? They let go of a few aging vets and find room to sign 2 major and younger free agents and maintain being a playoff tem.

We spent 16 million on a 2nd round pick last year that everyone thinks is brilliant, but Dorsey spends an extra 40 million or so in signing bonus in year one to get some depth in Cleveland and he is an idiot?
