It's on TV, Channel 19 if anyone is interested.

The Giants are ahead 7 to 0 approaching the end of the 1st quarter.

7-7 in the 3rd... Trent didnt look that great.. 3 for 15.. eh

14-14 frye looked rly nice in his drive.pool is out with a concussion...thought it was worse. This guy jacobs from the giants are killing us but mccullough our 4th string RB looks nice.Im waiting to see cribbs on O and this standout Rideau undrafted WR.Cribbs did return a kick and dragged a couple of guys to bout the 35.Green looked nice also BTW.

Green did better than nice. He embarrassed the performance Suggs put up, which was complete crap. Dopped passes, bad blocking, poor running. He did nothing good.

Im telling you, barring Ruben surprising me, Green should be the starter here.

yea i can see green taking it because we saw what green did in his rookie year which we know he can even do better!Cribbs was awesome on special teams...Frye looked good and Josh Harris' athleticism made him look rly good.Alston dropped a pass by Harris that woulda been a TD.Sean Jones sack was nice!!!Kurpeikis...did any1 see that guy tear it up?Man he had a really nice game.

Green sucks and the performance Suggs put up was against 1st stringers. And the all mightly Cosey Coleman only got called for holding like 3 times on 2nd down making it almost impossible to run. Not to mention Green got like 4 times the carries Suggs did because they actually didn't hold every other play. Green dropped passes too basically the same one Suggs did a screen pass with running room ahead of him.

I'll be honest I wasn't too impressed with many other then Brian Russell who covered the linebackers asses all night when they tried to 2 hand touch Cloud and Barber, and also had an interception off Palmer. Antonio Perkins who completely got in every WR's face and had a pick and a nice return. I liked what I saw out of Sultan McCullough but he tried to do too much at times and is a bit undersized. Anyone who is being critical with the TD given up from Manning to Burress remember Baxter is like 5 10 and Burress is 6 5, and it was a well thrown ball. I wanted to see how Pool played unfortunately he got a concussion but Sean Jones looked alright. Overall we did alright, we definately need to cut down the penalties a smarter team like the Patriots who don't make many penalties would have devoured us last night. I'm sure Crennel will be watching how much they hold during practice. And I'm a concerned about our defense, the 3-4 is a good defense to run but only if you have the personnel to do it, I don't think we do as we got manhandled by their running game.

Wow...you cant sit there and say Green did a bad job.

He had very little to work with from the OL and he made things happen, he did drop a pass but he didnt botch two blocks or do nothing when he got carries like Suggs did.

To say anything less than Green had a good start is complete crap.

But as for the rest of the team..

The OL needs a lot more time to gel..the DL and LBs need a ton of work to make this 3-4 work.

Baxter looked terrible..

Cribbs, the DL whos name I cant say, Russell, Perkins, Andra Davis and Terrell Smith had a pretty good game.

Frye looked pretty impressive. There is no doubt in my mind he can eventually be a starter and have a pretty good career here. He is mobile, has a pretty good arm (that was not an easy TD pass). He obviously has a lot to learn (but he did smarten up and didnt force that second pass). But Im confident with Frye, just think, when he starts he will have Bryant, Edwards, Cutt and Winslow to pass to. Thats a nice core to start off with.

ill tell you what when i see frye i get a feeling inside telling me that this guy is going to be a "winner", i didnt have that with other quaterbacks.

green played well. i tought i remembered hearing that the giants first team d was going against our first team O in the beginning of the first quater when green was running with the exception of strahan.

both lines for the browns look weak. but i expected that due to the inexpierence.

with all that said i thought we were getting killed in the first half and it was 7-7.

i was disapointed that dilfer couldnt hook up with our wide recievers.

Dilf didnt have any time at all man...So i cant say he had a bad performance because of that.

But I get that same feeling with Frye man, you look at his emotions and just how he carries himself and you can see that he gets it. He wants it, he wants to win and succeed. I love it..

Green did run against the first team DL of the Giants for a little bit

dilfers passes when he had time he was hitting the targets perfectly.CDT i cant sit here listening to people dawging william green. We saw what he could do his rookie year and he made mistakes after that...not nearly as bad of a one winslow made.Green will be a great RB if he keeps his head together and I can see him starting if he keeps it up.

I'm not trying to knock down Green with this question, I was at the Tribe game and didn't get to see the game (waiting for the 7PM replay tonight to watch it), but Green's numbers were, I believe, 12 carries for 44 yards, or right around 3.5 ypc. What was so special about that?

fundamentals, suggs left at least 50 yards on field yesterday. not to mentition the extra plays the offense would have had if he would have made those plays.

i cant wait for green to use that stiff arm, just thinking about it gets me excited.

im not saying dilfer had a bad game, i was dissapointed that he didnt hook up with the recievers, which was a result of not having time as well as having 2 and 20.

I see your question fundamentals, but this is an entirely different William Green.

He picked up his blocks well, and he knows how to follow a blocker now. Not to mention the field was very wet so a lot of yards were lost for all backs just due to the circumstances.

But Green had a GREAT cutback one play and gained an extra 5-10 yards on the use of his vision, where people love to bash him at, he showed it.

As cavincali said, I cant wait til he can get into the situation to use his power. With the conditions the way they were, there was no planting available to use a lot of power.

Sorry I just don't like William Green, I supported him when he was drafted and he wouldnt hit the holes he would try to bust to the outside and eventually run into an unblocked lineman or lb and fall to the ground. Maybe it's the fact we could have had Portis or that he now looks like Ricky Williams but I'm not going to let him fool me with a performance against 2nd stringers mainly. Say what you want about Suggs' injuries but at least they were cause on a football field not being stabbed by your crackwhore gf or because you were suspended for violating the substance abuse policy. The 2nd team didn't have 4 huge drive killing penalties like when Suggs was in there and he was 3 carries for 11 yards not bad. He wasn't perfect by any means but to act like William Green i starters material is foolish. He is inconsistent he will play well and when somoene sets so much as an ounce of expectation on his shoulders he will completely bottom out and play terrible.

A rumor out there is suggesting the Browns are showcasing him in the preaseason as trade bait which seems right as he played more then any other back in the game. The same is being said about Andre Davis who is just being lazy and having lackluster perormances all training camp.

well cdt, i dont think green is the next jim brown but you must has a personal grudge against him.

green played bad in the beginning of his rookie year, not the last 8 games!!!!!

you need to watch some of those games where he lifted people up with his stiff arm, the bengals game in cinnci, or when the threw a guy on his back on a block, saints game.

you merely have forgotten about what he did because of the distractions over the past year or so.
