I think on paper and as traditional Basketball senses says Butler is a better fit but I agree PG is the better fit for this team and against the warriors. Jimmy Butler has shined when the ball has been in his hands, he can play off the ball but some of the best he has played is when Rose was hurt. PG on the other hand has played some of his best when with Lance Stephenson and switching on and off the ball.

Assuming we get Melo too. The question is does LeBron become less effective if he is playing SG for stretches with PG or Melo at the 3/4? Is it more effective to have Butler playing his nature position at SG and keeping LBJ/Melo at the forward positions?

If we also get Melo, it will be PG who would end up playing at 2. LeBron at 3 and Melo at 4. When we want to go small, can just have someone like JR or Korver fill in there.

Cavs looking for other teams to get involved.....Out here in Portland, you have a team that isn't going to get far with the amount of money they have tied up for a lot of role player types. They have 3 1st round picks this year and no cap. Griff has had dealings with them before. I bet if all goes down, there will be about 15 teams involved, 35 players moved, 10 draft picks moved, and we end up with both JB and PG13. LOL!!!

Much better. Plus, how does losing love and getting Butler make us better. Our problem isn't our big 3. It is our old, slow bench. We need to improve that or add to our big 3. Not change our big 3. My hope is this is just a way to make the Pacers lower their price.

Butler and PG are far better than K Love and can play defense on Durant. Which helps lebron a lot more

I think this is smoke to put heat on the Pacers. Honestly George is a much better fit and between he and LeBron gives us more flexibility from the 2-4 positions...George also has decent handles himself.

That was the first thing that came to mind for me. Will be interesting to watch this play out...

Don't see this as a great fit, needs the ball and can't shoot 3's, too short to guard Durant.

I would first do anything in my power to get PG13 in here, he is our best chance to defeat the Warriors, Butler doesn't change that much if we're giving up Love.

Butler has guarded Durant much better than PG.
