Butler Boat !!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Chris Paul should join the Timberwolves. That team, is easily the second best team in the West.

They have to move Rubio and Dieng for that to happen. A more realistic upgrade is to move Dieng and add Paul Milsap. A lineup of Rubio/Butler/Wiggins/Milsap/Towns should be fun to watch.

Should change title to "Butler boat got lost and sailed into Minny" I am happy for them there I hope they become Legit and stand as a threat. KA and Butler, and if Wiggins can take the next step they got something. My second favorite team got something to cheer for... to bad they will be run over by the Fake State Princesses.

For all of the trade proposals that went something like "Love for assets, assets to Chicago, Butler to Cleveland," no one ever managed to answer why the fuck said team sending the assets wouldn't just want Butler instead.

Like why would Phoenix give us the 4th pick and, I dunno, TJ Warren, for Kevin Love that we then flip for Jimmy Butler, instead of just giving the 4th pick and TJ Warren for Jimmy Butler???????Both Love and Butler have the exact same amount of years left on their deals, and bonus, Butler is currently cheaper.
Does this really need to be explained? To fill a need Eg a team like the 6ers decide they want a floor spacing PF over a slashing SG next to Embiid. The trade market is all about finding who values your assets better than the next guy's assets

One, first you have to find a team willing to give up comparable assets for Kevin Love to what Chicago ended up getting for Butler.

Two, you have to find a team that is going to do that and values Love more than Butler.

You go ahead and search and dive through some rosters and see if you can find one, smart guy.

Butler is the better player, the cheaper player, and capable of playing both the 2 and 3.

We did. And we didn't find any. That we tried our best was due diligence on our FO's part. How can any right minded human being have a problem with that?

What, the team has phantoms running our FO right now... What did you expect a man who they basically "Here take this" can do. The off season ends when pre season starts..... man.

Yo, boss, if you're gonna hop into the middle of conversation, catch up first. I was responding to Jmoney who said the Cavs could have swung a Love/Butler centered deal if Griffin was still here.

The reason Phoenix would want Love over Butler was that they have two young players in Devon Booker and TJ Warren who play the two positions, SG/SF, that Butler plays. They also are guard heavy and Booker being 6'6 you would imagine that they would slot him in at SF sometimes so they can utilize a 3 guard lineup. Love was a better fit for their team, they don't have a scoring big or a stretch 4. While Butler was the better player, it doesn't make sense for the suns to cut Booker's or Warren's minutes for Butler.

TJ Warren has quietly increased his production each season he went from 6.1 to 11 to 14.4 points per game. I think the suns want to ride that production increase and see where it takes them.

I don't buy this Ainge is scared stuff... 10 years ago when he struck out on Oden and Durant he flipped his team around immediately and had a contender for about 4 seasons and got a ring....

I don't buy the Celtics as being close to a championship caliber team right now-- so I kinda like what he's doing cause he's really getting assets while maintaining a competitive product on the floor...
