"Call of Duty" killer? We'll see come Fall, 2010...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Halo skill = jumping and shooting accurately. That's the only skill associated with Halo. Anyone that claims otherwise is a fucking fool or 13 years old.

Did I mention that by jumping, your aim lock doesn't change at all? You still look at the same damn spot on the game. Halo is for fags that can't handle a real FPS.

For any Halo fag that can't handle my commentary, I'd be more than happy to meet you on any game, any system, and fucking molest your faggoty ass.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

The above rant leaves me speechless and is priceless.:chuckles:

With that being said, I just could never get into Halo, even when my buddies tried to force the first and second one down my throat back during my first Iraq deployment (2004-2005). They always tried to start these big-ass tourney's, and I always use to lose interest after 5 minutes of playing.

I even gave Halo 3 a shot during my second tour. Played for a couple of days. Actually did pretty well at it. But alas, it still couldn't hold my interest, and I sold it, as well as that busted-ass POS Xbox 360 that I had, and decided to man the fuck up and get an adult gaming console- the PS3 (although the game selection sucked at the time. LOL).

*And no, I'm not turning this into a "childish" console "war". There are plenty of good games for the 360 I wish I could get. But the hardware is just too damn unreliable for me, and I don't feel like buying a new system every year (as I went through 4 in less than 2 years).*

I was going to post about the jumping part.. You get so much health, and then once you shoot people, they just start jumping around and try to find cover quickly. Don't see any skill in jumping around.

In terms of competitive gaming, Halo is by far takes the most skill out of any game on the market. Shooting and jumping? Not even close, try playing as a team. It's easy to generalize, I guess. COD is extremely fun, but incredibly easy.

Remember- nothing is realistic, it's a game. If anyone wants to get a 4v4 Halo 3 game going, I'll gladly play.

Halo has it's moments of being fun to play and MW2 has it's moments of being fun to play. Depends on the mood.

I have noticed MW2 is hella fun when playing with your friends. Halo can be fun either way, with or without friends (but only seems to be fun for about 2-4 hours though). The one downside I've seen with MW2 is that you have one option for Co-op. It will lose interest to some who have friends over and try playing on just one system.

Anyway, I liked the MoH series so far. Never played online, so I can't comment on that aspect. I'll play any game, so it doesn't matter what rating it will get later in the year.

Hopefully MoH does get competitive with MW2, that way both franchises will pull out all stops to compete with each other making better and better games.

LMAO... Halo involves shooting perfectly accurately, no matter how much you are moving around. I'm pretty sure that's not how guns work in real life. It involves racing to be the first one to pick up the shotgun (or some other overpowered weapon) in the map to give you a huge advantage over most other people.

Seriously, I could never understand the people that say that Halo takes skill. Halo involves spraying the other player and depleting his huge amount of health before he depletes yours.

Marcus, have you played Halo 3 online? Do you understand the mechanics of the game itself, and how crucial teamwork is?

And, no one said the game is realistic...there are zero games that are "realistic".

And fyi- take a look at MLGpro.com- maybe it could answer some of your questions.

MLGpro, sit around cover, take 2 or 3 shots, hide behind cover, regenerate your health, repeat the cycle.

That couldn't be further from the actual competitive Halo 3 gameplay.

I agree 100%. Halo is all about teamwork, you will win VERY few games with just individual skill.

To each his own I guess. Not everyone likes the same thing. I happen to like Halo and BF games more than CoD and MoH.

I definitely don't want to get into an arguement with X, Especially after this line:"For any Halo fag that can't handle my commentary, I'd be more than happy to meet you on any game, any system, and fucking molest your faggoty ass. :runs:

Exactly, I don't care if people play other games- I have given them a fair shot. I played MW2, and had fun with it....but it was too easy.

Opinions are opinions though.

What do you guys think of the Battlefield games?
A lot great games in the series for the PC and a couple console ones.

BF:BC2 is coming out soon and its looking pretty good, i think the demo is also up. Some people are also calling that the "next CoD killer".

I never played any Battlefield, but I have heard it is fun as hell. Personally, I haven't played much FPS since getting back to school, internet sucks over here.

Probably should go back to Goldeneye or some older RPG's

Dante's Inferno looks to be a helluva game coming out on the 9th. Final Fantasy XIII comes out in March......I heard. Definately looking to play that on the X-Box for the 1st time.

Battlefield aint' bad. It's one of those games where you want to play online with most of your friends.

Yeah I've been a huge FF fan over the years....that will be something I buy for sure in the next few months.

Those were statements coming from someone who used to own Halo 3 (the hardcover edition) and play it online. I played several different game types, but mainly stuck to Doubles and Team Slayer.

I don't bother with MLG, mainly because I think the entire concept is incredibly queer and the people that tend to be hardcore into it also tend to be major geeks/assholes (no offense meant to you if you are hardcore into it, of course :chuckles:).

Teamwork is crucial in any online FPS. I never mentioned teamwork when I went on my rant.

Can't really dispute how bad the camping has gotten in Call of Duty nowadays, although there are different levels of it. Seeing a blip on your heartbeat sensor and waiting for someone to round the corner is one thing. Firmly planting your ass in a corner and watching a doorway the entire match is something completely different.
