Caris LeVert: Two More Years!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Is LeVert back in 2023-24?

  • Cavs can't afford the $$$ to keep him and nothing is going to change that

  • After bricking shot after shot in the playoffs, Koby washes his hand and lets LeVert walk

  • Only if he signs for something close to the MLE

  • If Caris plays well in the playoffs, the Cavs will offer big $$$ to keep him

  • KobyAltman! No one else on the team fills his role, so stop sitting on your hands!

its the playoffs, man. stats go down for most bench guys. only the a level elite guys maintain or elevate from their regular season numbers.

caris is an 18mm/year guy and a fukn damn good one at that.

If you want something better you have to pay more. youll see in the off-season when Levert goes for 22/4.
If the Cavs don't give him something foolish, I promise you he's not getting $20M per from anyone.

The Cavs were happy giving Levert....after trading a first round pick for him....18mm a year.

Since his numbers were arguably career best this year when taking into consideration his defense, you dont think someone is going to better that offer since they dont have to give up any picks for him?

No. You're wildly over rating his market value. He's not a starter. He's a role player off the bench. When young guys get their first rookie contract, there's a certain amount of upside that's priced into the deal. When that *potential* isn't realized by the third contract, you stop pricing it in. What you see is what you get.

Congrats to LeVert on the deal, and congrats to Koby on getting a reasonable deal done..

I have been skeptical of LeVert but hoping he can build on the second half of last season, and continue being a strong piece off the bench..

If not, that is a very moveable contract and is also now aligned with Mitchell's free agency..

"Even with incessant questions about his stylistic fit alongside the core four -- Garland, Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen -- the numbers point to LeVert being an asset.

That quintet played 231 minutes together, outscoring opponents by 15.1 points per 100 possessions, living up the “Death Lineup” moniker that an assistant coach used prior to the season."

Very happy for LeVert and team. He adjusted so much this past season and finally got comfortable in the second half. He made some great passes as well. Imagine having shooters on the outside too. I believe he’s going to continue to do well for us.

I am genuinely happy for Caris. Let’s hope he can repeat the post allstar break play. If he can knockdown threes at 38%+ it’s such a game changer.

Looking at other deals made the last couple days and it feels like the LeVert deal is easily one of the best deals per dollar any team made. He has his lumps, but fell into a nice role that really felt like our 5th best player.

Oh you must mean Washington and several other teams who seemed drunk over this FA year...

Looks like he is consciously working on off the dribble 3's
