but i would never had thought that ferry would have interest in jamison though...after the playoff rivalry last season, li earned that jamison can DEFINITELY ball and would be a good pick up...he can do everything you can ask for a 4,i can just image him and KG going at it(basketball wise)

The player of our dreams? I can only think of Bosh and Amare, even Jamison. Raps/Wiz/Suns all came into the season hoping to be a title contender but Raps haven't worked out, Wizards are too riddled with injuries and doing really bad, and the Suns window is rapidly closing. I think the most likely out of those three is Jamison. Feb 19th seems so far away...

Jamison isnt "dream" worthy IMO, it has to be Amare or Bosh, the Raptors are pretty much done this year and the Suns are on the verge of imploding.

I'd watch the Suns situation closely, Amare has already voiced his frustration, and they are on the verge of imploding at which point he'd more than likely demand a trade, he just strikes me as the type to do so.

true and also i dont like the fact the he likes to shoot a lot especially 3s...im a little shaky on this one...and im really not getting hype for those all-star bigs (bosh,amare,etc.)

jamison may make us better but it may be a risky chance...it all depends on the other options ferry has out there by february

I think W&G might be talking about Bosh....The raptors are obviously not going anywhere this season, and once they realize that i think everyone on their roster will become available. I don't think the suns will trade amare. They just made a trade for Jrich...they're trying to win and get better right now. If we somehow get bosh.....wow.

it's hard to imagine that they might even become available even if their teams struggle but what w&g said really makes me feel excited

The thing is that Collison has 3 more years left on his deal with about $5.5 million per year... While he's a solid player, I don't think it's worth taking on that type of contract... I mean I think if we were to get a big man, it'd be a guy that could score or be a future next to JJ... Collison just doesn't really fit into what we want to do now or in the future, IMHO..

Here's the guys that I think we might try to target or I'd try to target:

Channing Frye
Stromile Swift
Darko Milicic
Ike Diogu
Chris Wilcox
Mikki Moore
Brian Cook

The thing is that we're not like to have much to offer, so they have to be guys that wouldn't take much to get... Unless we get a big in a deal with Wally... I just wish Presti would cut Joe Smith so we could sign him...

I like your list, but I would have no problem paying collison 5.5 million a year for the next 3 years. He is a big that can play poth pf and c and can start in this leag. He is not Z or even AV, but he has a tradeable contract if AV signs long term, and hickson and jackson both end up being studs. Ben will be gone next year, as his 2010 expiring 14million is a bigger prize than even Wally. So, adding someone of Collison's quality would definetely serve a purpose and not handcuff this franchise.

Now, if he was making 10 mill a year, I would second guess it. I also would like Darko, as I think he has the talent, and Z could possibly motivate him to use his talent. I could be wrong, but he just intreagues me. Plus if he does suck, he expires next year.

It would take alot to get either, but both GM's are looking at having a bare cubbard with one unhappy super star pf. I would say next year is more likely on both bosh and amare, but i could see one if not both being moved before they hit free agency. Ofcourse to aquire either would take a combination of 2 1st round picks, hickson, av, west, and boobie. I say atleast 2 players and both picks plus Ben or wally's expiring contract. But to me, it would be worth it.
