Cavaliers @ Spurs | NBA Finals - Game 1 | June 7th, 2007

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We need to find a way to rebound better, duncan is having his way on offensive glass.

Boobie needs to see more minutes through out the series

I just love the fact that Hughes played so long in this game while boobie sat

We don't got time to fool around with the Spurs with mercy playing time

Very lopsided officiating...Game 1 to the Spurs

Agreed... we attacked the basket and got nothing all night, Manu acts like he got whiplash and gets a Flagrant 1...

Also talk about LeBron's offensive effort...

I like the fact that Boobie was hitting his midrange jumper....

Boobie hits everything, the kid needs to be seeing around 40 minutes in this series. Hughes cant keep up with Parker and we sorely need boobies offense.

Hughes needs to ride the pine......................IF Daniel Gibson doesn't start and LJ doesn't begin to post up; then I have to conclude that Mike Brown is an idiot.

Why not put Hughes on Ginobli when bringing in Gibson? Keeping Hughes out there to guard Parker is a trainwreck. Gibson finished with more minutes than Hughes, but it sure as hell didn't feel like it.

Z was obviously off his game, but he was doing a solid job on Duncan in the post.

But Jesus Lebron, 4-16?

Mike Browns Press Conference:

Q: Any thoughts of starting Boobie over the injured Hughes?

A: No.

Let's not panic yet guys... this franchise has NEVER won Game 1 on the road in the playoffs (0-12 all time now). Remember how we all felt after being down 0-1 and then 0-2 against the Pistons? Yes, it's extremely disappointing that we didn't show up tonight, but the 4th quarter should give us some hope going into Game 2. And LeBron will not look that bad offensively on Sunday night. The guys were definitely showing some Finals jitters out there. Hopefully that's out of the way now.

On an unrelated note - is there a more annoying PA announcer in the NBA (besides the Pistons idiot of course) than the Spurs guy? And how bad were the ABC announcers? Just brutal all the way around.

Is there a reason why we were doubling the Fabulous Fabricio Oberto ???

The Spurs have one of the worst PA guys as well as player introductions/pre-game show (whatever you want to call it)... The Q blows it out of the water...

I was wondering that same thing... then we are stuck with Andy or Drew trying to fly out to contest a wide-open corner three. Not a formula for success.

If Brown really isn't considering starting Boobie then I officially have issues with him, and usually I stick up for him. This is the NBA Finals - who knows when we'll be able to get back in this position? Play to win. I appreciate Hughes gutting it out and giving it a go, but he is not helping us on the floor.
