Cavaliers vs. Pistons - ECF Game 1

LJ is a choker........First he can't he free throws...........Now he won't take the last shot.......................NOW he doesn't even come to the game with the mindset of scoring.
 
At least we fought hard.

Heart break loss here tonight. I would have rather had LeBron take it himself for the tie for a chance at OT.

We put up a fight, and that's a good sign. Many people were thinking the Pistons were going to steam roll over us. I'm pumped for game 2. I think we can steal that one if we play with the same intensity.

Unless he steps it up we simply can't beat this team..

We held him in check the whole night but let him get hot in the end and that's what got us beat...

Apparently you missed my last post. Pavs stinking up the court doesnt leave lebron many lanes. Then you throw in the fact that rip torched him. His presence hurt us tonight, if someone can step up and hit shots, Lebron can do his thing.
 
Lebron isn't god. People also need to realize this. Every possesion he has to beat Prince then billups/Hamilton then Sheed/Webber. It is extremly hard to get by 3 people and beat them in one possession.

Which is why we needed someone to step up and hit shots, which didn't happen.

LBJ had some faults tonight, i dont like how he holds the ball and lets the d setup on isos and post ups.

The weakest link here was not being able to provide space for lebron. Z was the only guy who could hit an open jumper all night long.
 
Are you guys kidding me? We were right there. We had a wide open three for a win and missed. The Cavs played good ball right up until the end. I have no criticism for the Cavs. None at all.
 
This is one the Cavs should have taken and they're going to regret it that they didn't.

They started out playing smart offensively but got more and more back into their old bad habits in the 2nd half.
Once again we see them come out terrible in the 3rd quarter. What the hell goes on at halftime?

Pistons took LeBron out of the game and he didn't attack enough. In this series he needs to make quick decisions and not dribble away seconds on the perimeter. No FT attempts for him says a lot although he got screwed on a couple of no calls.

Hughes started out playing like he should be but that faded as the game went on. He's not the answer for the Cavs in the backcourt.

Great game from Z. Played well in all areas. Nice to see him bounce back from last year.
Also a solid game from Varejao and a terrible one from Sasha.

This should have been a win. Detroit will be much better next game.
 
Larry actually looked "athletic" attacking the rim earlier tonight. Then he went back to taking ridiculously crappy shots.

Well hopefully Danny Ferry is Listening to what he is saying because i actually agree with chuck there. However, it would be nice if he gave us a little credit...sheesh.

After all this time we still need an entirely new back court. Going into the free agency period I did not want Hughes here but tried to convince myself to like him.

Hopefully we can get into the draft because there are some nice two guards available.

You stay close until the end and you try to win. You go for an open 3. The guy has to make it. Chauncey made his, Donyell didn't. Ballgame.

Horry makes them. Lots of guys have through history. Donyell didn't make it.

Blaming LeBron is childish and foolish. A great dish, an open shot. I don't know what more we can do. We are one guy away from beating this team. But we're not quite there yet.
