Cavaliers vs. Pistons - ECF Game 1

LBJ had some faults tonight, i dont like how he holds the ball and lets the d setup on isos and post ups.

The weakest link here was not being able to provide space for lebron. Z was the only guy who could hit an open jumper all night long.
I agree about the holding the ball... He's done it since 2003, and doesn't seem content any other way... No different than a QB who holds it....

Z will get that shot all game every game... PJ Brown had that shot in the last series on every play...

Detroit not shooting well is not a coincidence. They ran guys at Billups to keep him from setting up the offense and they hustled back to get a hand in the face of the shooter 95% percent of the time. They made very few mistakes and really pressured Detroit all game long.

Cavs are going to have a similar chance in game two if they just run their game plan.

I love what Charles said though...

"If I catch that ball and I get that deep, it's going up without hesitation, I'm not looking for anyone in corners, I'm not paying attention to my defender, it's just me and that rim in that gym"

Im not worried about Detroit exploding offensively, im worried that we are going to search for production from our back court and not find it. Atleast Hughes for the most part will rebound and play good defense.

We need someone who can freaken hit a shot and not turn the ball over.

Oh yeah....

Barkley is an ignorant fat ass. Does he think his fat ass scores 20 without KJ dishing off to him? He speaks poorly, and is obviously a very bitter person. He is a sick gambling addicted, biased fool.

Oh yeah...did I also mention his fat ass?

Moo

Well, we have Gibson and Pavlovic who can score. Wasn't there night tonight. Can't get on those guys because of one night.

Cavs will have a chance to win another game and there is no reason to believe Sasha or Boobie won't put up a better performance in game two.

Im a little worried with boobies mechanics. I said earlier he isn't forming a 90 degree angle with his wrist and elbow like he use to. His release is off a bit to his left side.

Its been a little like this since his injury.

Barkley has eaten his words so many times, the only credibility he really has is when people get mad at his ever changing opinion.

He talks because he is paid to. I agree with that fact we need a point gaurd, but that is obvious. Charles doesn't think, he just says what he feels. Let it go people.

He shouldn't be playing if he having difficulty with his shooting. I haven't noticed it, but it is not like I have seen much of Gibson to know his game all that well. Anyway, I hope he is not playing hurt. That won't help anything.

Its not that he is hurt, its just that his shooting mechanics are slightly different than they use to be. It started when he came back from his injury.

He shoots it like Kenny Smith a little... Side winding jumper..

Some people shoot good like this, depending on how severe it is. Kenny like you said and Kevin Martin. Boobie however shot so well before the injury with the noted mechanics and has shot much worse after.

He'll fix it in the offseason..........The guy never sees regular minutes. What do you expect?

That was an ugly ugly game. Both teams shot the ball poorly. The Pistons played poorly most of the contest, with Rip being the one saving grace. Billups had a very sub par game overall, (even though he made big plays in the 4th), a lot of it due to the Cavs pressure.

I liked that the refs let the game be played physically. Let's be honest, these are two pretty physical teams and no one wants this thing to turn into a free throw shooting contest, that's not basketball.

I'm not going to bring up the Cavs last offensive possession, you can tune into ESPN for dissection of that play over and over and over.

Does anyone think that fans expect too much from LeBron at this stage of his career? He's only 22! MJ didn't win at 22, and I don't think it's fair to compare him to Magic. They need to let that kid progress and learn.

Zeke, thanks for not being an annoying Pistons fan gloating here about an ugly win. And thanks for giving the Cavs defense credit for making Detroit look so bad on offense. No one ever seems to give us credit for that.

LeBron is getting killed for that decision and I believe it is not justified. I love the fact that we went for the win. We got a wide-open 3 from a guy who should hit that shot and it just didn't fall. I'll take the win over LeBron's personal stats any day of the week and I'm glad he feels the same way. If Donyell hits that shot you have a lot of happy fans here today.
