It wasn't just the 24-second call. How come Gibson didn't get 3 shots from the foul line when he was fouled shooting what seemed to be a 3pter? It sure looked to me like he was well behind the 3pt arc when he went in the air.
I'm happy with what Hughes showed. I think it's just a case where he was played too many minutes. His TO's were but a drop in the bucket compared to Gibson, Shannon, and Sasha's and at least he balanced it with a couple of steals, a block, an offensive board, and some nice defensive plays. He can do better, and I believe he will. For his first game, all I wanted to see was that he can still nail a jumper, that he's willing to go to the rim, draw contact, and occasionally finish. Check on all of that.
