Cavs coaching search

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am personally loving the drama this time. I dunno, something nice about firing the coach expecting and old timer like Drew to roll over and do what is expected while he flips the script. Cavs really have to figure the organization out. A dysfunctional organization can't win anything.

Cavs, and Browns, will never change organizationally with the current owners. They meddle too much in situations they are not qualified for.

Just because you are a billionaire owner doesn't mean you know how to properly run a sports team. Dan was good at throwing money at things when necessary but I bet he felt his spending bought his way into day to day operational decisions.

The hell with Drew. I wouldn't even let him be the "voice" tonight. He's paid $1 million to be an assistant coach. That's one step above getting rebounds at the warm up line.
That's the gratitude you show your boss when you are given the opportunity to coach an NBA team? Play hardball?
I'd rather see JR be named player coach. Somebody could keep track of the score for him.

I don't anticipate many of you would take on 100% of the additional responsibility of your boss without the expectation of any additional compensation?

Correct.

But where did you get the idea Drew would not be getting additional compensation?

Drew is looking for that Gilbert PTO special for the 2019-2020 season.

I would too if I was him. He saw the first 2 guys he was working under canned under dysfunctional circumstances.

What??? No.

Buying the team is what “bought” his way into operational decisions. Do you know how businesses run in the USA?

It’s like people want owners to not be owners lol

When, we should be happy that we have an owner who was willing to spend and help us win a championship.

How do you know they will not pay him more ? I think they just don’t want to promise him 2-3 years. The old man is looking for a final payout and that’s fine. I get it.
You can say Gilbert screwed up last year but lbj leaving. Coming back. Leaving again does that to an organization

This dude lmao. Just promote posey instead.
Fire The Voice. Promote Posey. Bring up the d league guy to be head assistant and move on
Gilbert is not cheap. Sure drew would get more money. Drew gives a shit about team. Only himself

Big opportunity for Posey. He had Young Bull, The First Cedi and Ante Man playing really well in summer league. Time for him to push Drew out of the way

Send Drew to the Soylent Green factory, play him some Peer Gynt, and feed his tasty, crunchy remains to Zizic.

No time for egocentric geezers!

Larry Drew got the team to play better tonight but I think he is still showing loyalty to TT and he rode Clarkson while he was playing poorly. Sexton didn't end up getting more minutes. Zizic still isn't playing.

I'd much rather see someone outside come in and have some fresh eyes to this roster.

“Drew, who is one of the league's highest paid assistants at nearly $1 million this season, is seeking an adjustment to his contract that would guarantee him additional money in return for assuming the interim job. His deal is up in July.“
