What pick will we have and who will we take?

Tons of different scenarios!

Discuss.

NBAdraft.net has Hibbert going #23? That seems sort of extreme.

I'd take Hibbert going away at #19

draftnet had Kevin Love slipping to 18 at one point...wonder if his whiteness will see him slip to us at #19. Dude reminds me a lot of Carlos Boozer.

Id sort of be surprised if Love left early.

Yeah I'd definitely take Hibbert if he was there as well. We have to start thinking about a replacement for Z as Varejao will likely be gone and Ben is about more done than Z at this point.

I was thinking the same thing about Love about a month ago but he's made too much of a name for himself in the tournament to go that late. He'll be snagged up in the top 15 at worst more than likely.

I'm not so sure about Hibbert in two areas.... it seems that he rarely plays motivated, and he has said on numerous occasions that he wants to play all 4 years at Georgetown (he is a Jr, isn't he?). As for the first point, I can't say that I've seen all his games, but those I have, he doesn't seem to be a dominant player for being a legit center sized college player. Not real confident that translates well to being a solid starter in the pros. 7'2" is 7'2... but he's not gonna run with the Amares... and he's not gonna throw his weight around with the muscles... and he doesn't have the range of Z.... personally, I would pass on him.

As for Love, if he came out, him I would take a chance on if that was a team need.... but I'm not sure that he fills a team priority. Good player, and I think he will be a solid pro... but again... do you go for best talent available, or to fill team needs? Hibbert might fill a future need better... but I'm just not sold on him as a pro.

That kid from LSU looked like a very young Rashard Lewis. His name escapes me at the moment but if he comes out I wouldn't mind taking a long look at him.

Hibbert's a senior, he stayed out of last years draft so he could go 4 years. I've seen him in person last year n this year at Pitt and he seems way too soft for me. I saw 6'8 (more like 6'6) freshman DeJuan Blair shut him down just by keeping a strong arm on his back. If the Cavs could pick up Love or Rush that would be amazing, but Javale McGee would be solid for the future if he slipped. Also, despite the stockpile at pg next year with West/Boobie/Jones, a true pg like Lawson with unbelievable fast-break speed would be intriguing if he came out n fell to the Cavs.
