im intrigued by that omri casspi dude

Surprised they didn't even take a look at Earl Clark. We would definitely have to move up quite a bit to get him, but I figured since they worked out EVERYONE outside of the lottery they may focus on some of the lottery guys.

The Cavs previously worked out UConn Sr. PG AJ Price:

http://www.registercitizen.com/articles/2009/06/21/sports/uconn/doc4a3db1906e904388614664.txt

Price has worked out for about a half-dozen teams to this point — including Detroit, Sacramento, Cleveland, Washington and Minnesota — and, as of Friday, was still slated to work out for Denver and the world-champion Los Angeles Lakers. The Nuggets and Miami Heat have shown the most interest so far.

Bolded for emphasis ...

Going to nitpick for a second here,

- The National Basketball Association represents 29 teams from the United States of America, and 1 from Canada. That's a grand total of TWO countries.
- The Euroleague is well represented across Europe, with teams based in Spain, Germany, Greece, Italy, etc.

How does a team that won the NBA championship game earn the title "world champion?"

This isn't the World Cup, where you have dozens of nations from every corner of the globe squaring off until ultimately there is a victor. And it's also by far the world's most popular sport - every 4 years billions of people watch the World Cup. The winner of a World Cup is a World Champion.

The winner of the NBA Championship is just that - an NBA Champion set in an ultimately intra-nation league.

When Real Madrid can win 4 7 games series' against the best teams in the NBA then they can be called the World Champions.

But we're pitting the best teams in the United States against ... each other, in two cities.

The World Cup pits the best nations' teams against each other ... on a world stage.

But only gays play soccer.
