This to me looks like one of those 'kevin love' series. They have really no one that can guard him around the whole floor. Thad young can guard him at the three but not on the block and if they go big on him with miles or jefferson then the perimeter should be open. A steady dose of post ups and elbow set with him should be our first quarter offense. Id really like to see bench unit of Williams Korver JR Love and TT for a few minutes when lavoy allen and jefferson are out there.

So the cavs get 1 game rest each time the next game is in Cleveland but when it's at Indiana, they get 2 days rest.

It could have been reversed if we went super chill mode and got the #7 seed instead!

By the way, the OP has been updated with the full schedule.

The NBA got what they wanted, Boston top seed and Paul Vs LeBron, thanks refs and silver to bad you will be giving us another ring. New season ahead and all we can do is root them on. Sucks I like Paul George because I am ready to hate on shit but I will spare him and only him.

East a lot tougher this year, and we are worse. None of the Heat, Bulls, or Pacers was desirable. The Pacers will give us trouble. Paul George plays Bron tough, and our head coach is a cretin.

east had worst records this year. Last year the 44 win pistons were the 8 seed, this year the 5 seed had 43 wins.

You could look at that as increased parity in the eastern conference though. although that would require me to actually look at the data which is not my style;)

Really quick thoughts and observations from the regular season match ups (excluding the first game that LeBron sat out):

-The Cavs built leads of at least 14 points in each of the three wins. All three times the pacers made a comeback, but only once were they able to overcome the deficit (and we all saw why).

-Love is going to have trouble defensively because of Young's craftiness, but he should be a match up nightmare on the other end.

-Korver roasted them all over the place in the two February wins, knocking down some of the most soul crushing shots imaginable.

-Turner is a damn good player, but he's not the type to make Tristan noticeably small a la Drummond last year.

-If Lue let's Deron run the second unit against Aaron Brooks, Indy is done. In fact, I would guess brooks is unplayable in this series.

-The Cavs should go small whenever Al Jefferson is on the floor.

-Monta Ellis will hit some inexplicable shots that piss off a lot of people here, but if the Cavs harass him, they'll be fine.

-Never help off CJ

-The strategy defensively should be simple: stop George, stop the Pacers. Easier said than done, of course.

-I would bet quite a bit of money that you'll see a lot of Lance at point guard. Teague has never been able to defend Kyrie, and Ellis couldn't guard my grandmother. The Pacers will likely try to muck up the game, and Lance is perfect at that.

-If the Pacers are smart, they'll play Lance/CJ/PG/Young/Turner as much as they can.

-The key for Cleveland will be forcing Young off the floor. He can be taken advantage of by James or Love. The Cavs' best lineup in this series will probably include one of Love or Thompson, but not both. Look for Lue to use Love at center in key spots to bring Turner out of the paint like they did to Detroit last year.

-For as much talk as there's been about having a team of bad defenders, this is going team come down to concentration, communication and focus. Teague and Ellis aren't going to destroy you, unless you let them. CJ won't kill you unless you fall asleep.

Man, the league is giving us the "or NBA TV" treatment? That's straight up disrespect right there.

Cavs will lose game 1.

If we don't sweep, I'll be officially concerned about how the season went.

No chance they sweep. There's at least one loss in there somewehere with how unmotivated and disjointed they are and I think it's probably game 1.

Lance is going to do something that will make us regret not signing him.

There is a huge difference between being unmotivated in the regular season and unmotivated in the playoffs. The team knows how important rest is, sweeping gets us more rest.
