It went how it went and Lue guided the team down 1-3 to win the ship. I’m not interested in woulda coulda shoulda’s.

I generally agree with that premise - Dubheads who act like it was a fluke or that we should have an asterisk are sickening, just as I respectfully disagree with the idea that we "should've" won 2015 - but Lue didn't have that much more to do with the ring than Mark Madsen did with the Lakers 3-peat.

Back to the topic at hand...

Trevor Booker wearing the Reggie Miller choke sign on his shoes. This is Marreese Speights Pacifier level stuff...pick on guys at your own level.

Doubling Oladipo with no screener nearby killed us twice down the stretch. Hopefully Lue gives LeBron a break to start the fourth quarter so he can be isolated on important possessions. This requires Lue to not a have a liability like Clarkson out there in favor of Nance who can protect the rim if they continue trapping Oladipo late.

The front office has just made a mess of this team. First the horrible Kyrie trade, and then the deadline trades which looked so good at the beginning (I'll admit I bought in at first) look to have given us a bunch of guys who can't really perform under pressure and shipped out guys who could (Frye, Wade). We just don't have the personnel around Lebron. Also, somebody should have realized that in adding a bunch of non-ISO role players around Lebron they were constructing a team that Lue could not coach effectively.

If it comes down to prime-ish Love vs. 36 year old Wade, when Wade didn't get along with him or many others on the team, you send out Wade every time.

Dumping Frye was likely a necessary evil to be able to trade out worse-value players.

I just hope he realizes he can't play Nance and TT at the same time. This is really where we miss Frye or any real stretch 4/5 as a backup. We are going to lose either size or spacing. I like Nance and I hope the staff ask him to work on his 3 point shooting all summer. This current big man group as alot to be desired.

A true stretch 4 or 5 backup would make it so much easier to rotate any combination of Green, Nance, and TT.

I hope that Lue is just going to ask Nance and TT to not conserve anything and play hard for 4-5 minutes and then swap them. With how Green is playing I expect Love and Lebron to play all the PF minutes. Hopefully we get good enough play at SF from Korver, Hood, or JR when LeBron isn't playing there.

I think we can pretty much count on Lue NOT realizing this, bc he is as dumb as a brick.
