That wide open miss by JR was the biggest miss late. It would have given us the lead by 2. We also got a stop on the next possession. JR misses, Curry doesn’t. Almost seems unfair.

Honestly, KD had a monster game and we were still in it under 5 minutes. I'm not concerned with KD. He's going to get his, as the officials have demonstrated. We have worse problems.

I dont know how many of you go on /r/nba on reddit but holy crap is that sub a cesspool. I know it has been for a long time now but it seems like it's even more so today.

LeBron has had 8 games this postseason alone that were as good, or better, than Durant's last night. It's so fucked up that he just has to have 1 great performance in the postseason to easily win a ring.

And he killed us again. smh
He had a couple big plays late but Iggy looked really physically gimpy to me. It was like he could only run at 75% speed, and sometimes he was outright favoring one leg. There was also a play -- I think in the 3rd, maybe 4th -- where he flat-out passed it when he had a wide open corner 3. I think he's like 65% healthy right now.

The cold hard truth.

KD on THAT TEAM with THAT COACH and SYSTEM

is not far off LeBron.

35/8/5 last year
32/11/7/2 this year

That kind of production is devastating and mitigates LeBron's big games. 2015/2016 this kind of game from LeBron would have been enough. Today not so much.

Game 1 felt like a win because LeBron DOMINATED KD.

He has to dominate that matchup in order for us to have a chance. However, the talent around him, the system, coach (actually resting him at proper times) just make it tough for KD to not be that good.
Agreed.

And that's really why Durant going to GS was so frustrating. LeBron has to shoulder the load himself, the team lives and dies by him. He is also the focal point of opposing defenses.

Durant is basically frivolous on that team. They would still be one of the best teams in the league without him. In Game 1, Durant was a flat-out bad for the most of the game, and it didn't matter. Plus, Durant benefits greatly from Curry's gravity.

It's just disgusting what repercussions him going to GS had for the league.

Cavs getting what they deserve.

Put a halfway competent roster around James and this is a series.

Don't feel like bitching about the Warriors when Houston showed how beatable they are. CCavs just had zero plan how to go about it this season.

Terrible, talentless backcourt. A bottom half of the league starting center. Just not a championship roster no matter who came out of the West. LeBron is the only reason we are here this year.

Deserve to be swept. Could have been a real series with a halfway decent front office and bon-meddling owner.

I kinda feel for the front office tbh. They did a poor job but things weren't easy for them.

Kyrie wanting to leave and the Love - PG trade not happening completely rekt us big time.

But, I still can't believe that, the only tall/big wings our management got to throw at and slow down KD other than LeBron in the last two years, were a 36 year old Richard Jefferson and Jeff Green. Thats just flatout ridiculous and unforgiveable.

Pretty much. I really don't think you can win in the NBA anymore and also have a max contract. Even if you're LeGOAT.
He's going to have to take a haircut if he goes elsewhere. (Or, preferably: stays in Cleveland to close out his career).

I'll be pissed if he does it for another team, but less pissed if it means no more Warrior finals.
Well, technically Steph has a supermax, but that has multiple asterisks on it, namely his earlier discounts and his teammates'.

Houston's team this year was almost able to get away with Harden's supermax, and Ryno's bloated contract to boot...

It’s time for us to stop being greedy. The man shut our championship drought.
As long as he chooses a place that gives him the best shot to beat the warriors and win, and it’s not Boston or Miami, I’m good.

I know he won’t choose Boston because he admitted to saying he’d punch his mom if she were there wearing a Celtics jersey lol

The hate for that franchise is real. And lebron is a competitor. Cmon now

This is why I think he's a coin flip between Philly and the Cavs.

If he goes to Houston or Portland or LA, he's handing the East to the Celtics.

Honestly, if the Cavs can make moves to put new talent around LeBron by getting value for Love, the 8th pick, and for some of our young guys...then I think he stays. I honestly do.

Nope.

Residual Miami Heat LeBron hate + Warriors slurpage = cesspool

Better off hanging out in team subreddits. Like r/clevelandcavs. Most of the fans of other teams that show up there don't troll and are generally positive

How does Drama Green not get tossed for all the crap he displays???

I agree..I think he would like to stay ..and he told Gilbert/Koby he wanted to , Dan would find a way to get whats needed.
However that said, right now I'm concerned about Friday night.
But the Cavs know he needs some bigger help than what they have.

Ugh that was a frustrating game. I'm baffled by some of the moves we made

1) Why did we put Lebron in iso's on the right side of the lane? He clearly feels much better with his jumper off the dribble over on the left wing. He's money from the left wing against bigs (even in our game 7 that's when we took Fezeli)

2) Why did we not go with Love at C more? We played the whole season for this matchup and then when you could have clobbered McGee by forcing him out to the 3 point line we stick with Tristan till we not only lose the lead but get behind.

3) Why did he bring in Thompson for Nance so soon in the 4th? We appeared to have momentum and it's so freakin hard to score with him in there when the Warriors are dialed in. He's got to be able to do something with the ball when he's in point blank range: instead he put up a weak ass hook and then he got stripped everytime he tried to gather. I hope his time is down as a Cav

4) Why no Nance in the 3rd?
Why do you ask reasonable questions that Ty cannot answer?
