I'm not so worried about starting vs. bench. I think it's more of a game to game adjustment.

I'm perfectly fine with JR starting, but Lue has to greatly reduce his minutes in favor of Cedi/Hood IF he's not producing. IF JR is producing in a given night, then play him his normal starters minutes.

A good coach could balance this all better.

For sure. I agree.

I love Nance and Hood starting, however I think Cedi should be starting instead of JR. Again where was JR tonight? Oh yeah that's right missing in action again. What a waste

For sure. I agree.

It also motivates JR to produce every night, without risking losing him altogether. JR will know that if he's not aggressive with his shooting and hitting shots, then he'll likely not get in again until the start of the 2nd half.

And then the same will be true for the 4th quarter. If JR doesn't produce, Cedi and Hood will get his minutes to finish the game.

JR should like it because he doesn't have to worry about losing his starting role, but he also knows that he's got to produce.

Unfortunately, such things seem too complex for Lue.

Anyone know if Cedi is playing internationally for Turkey this summer?

No offense to his Turkish fans, but I hope not. I want him working out all summer in Cleveland, with LeBron whenever he's in town and with Korver on his shot mechanics as much as possible.

The exciting thing about Cedi is not so much even what he does now or maybe could these playoffs, but just the projectability of seeing that it's reasonable for every facet of his game to improve from this season to next and from next season to his third season.

Yeah, Jr and Hood in the starting lineup made the different, not Nance and Lebron playing more aggressive.

You are such a genius.

Despite Nance and Lebron our starting lineup started off bad and were down early... so our starters weren't good like you make it seem.

Cedi looked confused tonight playing with the bench, he had no idea what to do... so it didn't work out for him.

Cedi really struggled the first 3 quarters. He couldnt score (i believe he had 3 points), and he had 4 TOs going into the 4th quarter. In the 4th though he really turned things around, and it wasnt like the pistons were playing scrubs. It was definitely not a fantastic game for Cedi, but he battled through it and ended up with an okay line.

I know he sturggled...i'm not disputing that. He looked confused and out of sorts.

He had no idea where players were standing on the floor and was afraid to take open shots...I blame Lue and Cedi's lack of familiarity with the second unit.

But this is not a case like Nance over TT where he is BY FAR the better player... Cedi's case is a bit more complicated. But you just can't expect to win games with JR scoring 0 points while playing 0 defense. Hill scoring only 3 points is also a problem.
Cedi atleast gives you top tier defense, penetration and teams give wide open looks(can be a negative in terms of spacing, but it's still not a solid tactic if he gets them in the corners) so when he hits them early it opens up the game for him in terms of driving(his first step is lethal) and the rest of the team.

If Jr doesn't take those contested/open shots from 3, then what's his role? You wanna start with Jr? fine, then tell him to bomb away and if he doesn't hit you insert Korver and Cedi...simple. He shouldn't play more minutes than Korver, that's for sure.

That's issue I have with European prospects.

Cedi clearly cares about His national team....I don't see how he drops his commitment to the NT.

If he continues to play for the national team every off season then It's going to stunt his development somewhat.

He certainly needs to work on his game in the off season with Korver and the others.

Korver vacations during the off season. He’s not hanging out in Cleveland teaching Cedi how to play basketball. I’ve been noticing much you say is talking out your ass . It’s actually bizarre in some cases such as this . How can you even sell Cedi development will be stunted by playing summer ball against top Euro competitions ? It’s best he hangs out with Korver playing horse with local high school coach’s ? . Junk talk at its finest .

Why do you communicate like this?

It is not for sure, but he might. He said before that he wants to continue to play for NT. But there are only 2 games this summer, so that shouldn't keep him from working out in Cleveland (which he also needs to do). And to be honoust, the NT really needs him.

It's shame to see cedi s shot regress. He has some serious flaws that I don't think will ever be corrected so I just hope he improves to a decent level but I think his offensive ceiling is lower than most realise
