I think he's better than Jeff Green right now.

Maybe that's more indicative of how I feel about Green's game lately, but even when he's making poor decisions, Cedi is playing the game the right way. Always looking to move the ball, attack the defense, and make plays at the other end.

Cedi is just fine. He’s so far ahead of where he is “supposed to be”. The criticism of him really starts and ends with the classic nervous rookie mistakes. But he’s also had terrible quarters/halves, only to come out later in the same game and make 5 straight shots/stops/ winning plays. That’s the mark of a great young player. He plays through his mistakes and doesn’t let the first quarter affect the third quarter.

He belongs on the bench right now though. He can hit the three but he’s a year or two away from being willing to shoot like 5-7 threes every game.I like him much more in a reserve role now as it opens up his full game more when he gets in, and gives him a bit more of a creative license out there. His energy is also a great change of pace.

I love him on the floor with Ante. They obviously have developed some chemistry and play well off each other on both ends. Guarded the PnR extremely well for two euro rooks.

Cedi is getting great experience this year for a guy that was never expected to see any minutes...give him an offseason to work now that he knows what the league is about and he'll be way better next season

I hope they let him run the point in summer league. Get him alittle more comfortable with the ball in his hands and slashing to the rim in the half court. If he can take his handles to the next level, it will help him make a big jump in his over all game.

I believe he will be playing Europe ball for his country. I’m not sure if that overlaps summer ball or not . I agree , it would be nice to develope his ball handling skills , seems like a smart kid .

Ante and Cedi both had great defensive plays last night where they were called for fouls. I just hope they get reputations that coincide with their skills as defensive players. That will allow them to play more aggressively. Right now they are getting shafted.

Defense is dead. Perimeter defense is even more dead.

Protect the shooter rule is garbage. It's another excuse for the league to empower the one way offensive players/shooters and make them look better than they really are.

There are offensive players that would struggle to get off their shot against good, stifling defense because they lack other traits/skills, but now you only have to be a good shooter in order to be a plus offensive player. Team's defensive rating had gone up as a result of the rule, so the player's individual defensive shortcomings do not negatively impact the team's D much as a whole.

You just can't contest shooters. All you can do is try to put a hand in their face after they release they shot or jump sideaways in order to evade their twisting ass body. Players are scared to contest shots and rightly so.

The teams that are hurt the most are teams that rely on perimeter defense that lack a traditional shot blocking big. Those teams just can't just run shooters off the 3pt line and guide them to the lane like teams such as Utah.

I love basketball, but I just dislike the product and the direction the league is going with. The value of defensive players and teams has been and will be diminished in the upcoming years.

Fuck Harden, Fuck Silver.

I know they don't let you swing through to get the shot anymore, but really it seems like a last resort when an offensive player has no shot and no pass. I wish they would call it an offensive foul and just get it out of the game altogether, or even a no call.

Couldn't agree more.

Yes, the thing I see is he needs to bulk up a bit, not a lot but enough to get some needed strength especially in his lower body so he isn't pushed around too easily.
