Included interviews with Sexton, Lue, Cedi and Love...

Q: "What is the biggest difference between Cedi now and last season?"
Lue: "No, he had a same thing (laughing...)"

What does it mean? Haven't he improve?
If he was same, why didn't you give him more mins?

I asked the same dumb question on the screen. Why? Sometimes Lue makes himself look like a complete idiot without thinking what he is saying...

I think he is saying Cedi had the cuts, pace opening up plays and passing last year. Not that he has not improved at all.
This is really interesing. He actually sees that Cedi is good and can contribute but still does not play him.
Lue, man, you are a total mystery.

IMO, the circumstances of not playing Osman late season last year are difficult to absorb. He probably could have given us some good minutes in the playoffs. The problem I see is that LeBron was still there, and Lue probably spent most of the time trying to appease the moody superstar. There wasn't anytime to work him into the rotation, especially with 4 new players trying to adjust to the roster.

I also think Osman was heavily scrutinized during the few games he was on the court, which put pressure on him and magnified the few times he did mess up. LeBron didn't have the patience to work with the rookie and Lue didn't have full reign or complete control over the roster while contending with a veteran roster.

I say let bygones be bygones and hope Osman gives us a good sophomore year.

Again, I view this guy as a role player until he tells me otherwise. If he is better than a role player, then the Cavs were idiots not starting him and letting him develop last season. Lebron was a idiot for leaving. Nobody believes this guy is a good starter. If they had, things would be different.

Cedi is Sasha Pavlovich with a brain. Lol

I agree 100%.

Move on already. The LeBron era is over. Why keep rehashing all the "what if" possibilities?

I'm just glad Cedi is still on the team and that we're doing our due diligence with Lue. To just fire Lue because of the difficulty of LeBron would be shortsighted.

Today I red an interview with Cedi in Socrates Magazine, Cedi said that he loves isolations of Chris Paul and watching his videos (especially foot moves) often.

Interesting. Seems like he goes into some serious nuances. He talked about he just sat and studied LeBron app last year.

He plays like an old vet in a young body.

so my current standing of where Cedi is involves me thinking there is no difference between the impact of jalen brown and him. He's at that level starting the season which puts him as a high lotto pick in his second/third year. Also he shuts of tatums water so easily.

Reminds me alot of a young Omri Casspi- the one who had alot of promise, not the AssFingers the Cavs got. I think he would have really thrived under Blatt, too.

I don’t know how good he’ll actually end up being, but I have a feeling he’s gonna grab 5-10 triple doubles this season. He rebounds really well and just the pace at which we should play should allow him to pick up easy assists as well

5-10 TD? :chuckle:

That's almost peak Lebron.

The Cavs have way too many good rebounders for Cedi to get even 1 TD.

But the guy has all the tools to be a very good player. More agile/athletic Hedo.

Everyone has been talking about the triple double because he is seriously good at rebouding and assists. Even a 15 7 and 5 guy is fucking incredible. It's stupid to pretend he can fill in for LeBron, but half a LeBron lol or Dare I say 3/4?
