Love you. XOXO
Love you. XOXO
Are they? then why didn't they play in the regular season? suddenly, two games in and they are beyond SL?
You have 2nd year lottery picks playing tons of minutes and games. You see Hart playing 36 minutes every game...
Unless the Cavs knew that they were both very good last season and still decided to not play them. 2 games sample size for both of them is nothing. Let them play and prove their worth to the NBA.
This is a different year. There’s no LBJ. Cedi and Zizic are the immediate future. They have a year of the Cavs system under their belts.
They both performed VERY well in their limited time.
No reason to give them the extra burn IMO, they’ll get plenty of it very soon.

I think the reason Cedi and Zizic didn't play was because the position the Cavs are in with their roster. They still have 3 roster spots and a two way contract to fill. The Lakers aren't that same position, they will fill their roster out with 30-something year old vets.
The Cavs needed the playing time to figure out if anyone is worth keeping on our summer league roster. You could see this how they put guys in different situation during the game and even in crunch time in yesterday's lose. They played Scoochie and Sexton together to see how Scoochie would play with another PG. I actually think Sexton would have gotten less playing time if we had another PG on the roster other than Scoochie.
They gave Holland a chance to play on the ball more as summer league went on. They also let Artis do more to see what he could bring to the table.
Sure... that was part of the reason for sure.
Now who the heck cares how Holland plays on the ball? he is almost 30, and he needs to find another team.
I think Lue wants 1-3 to be able to handle the ball. The Bullshit Whisperer said in one of his articles today that the Cavs like Hollands potential. I agree with you that he shouldn't be on the 15 man roster. If he is on the roster it's not horrible though, he is a solid two way player that won't make us scream at the Tv everytime he is on the court. I figure he will be a one year Alonzo Gee who gets alot less minutes.
What potential? he is 30.
Lol...he is exactly the type of player that makes me want to scream at the TV. He takes ill-advised shots and isn't particularly smart or good on D. He is a waste of a roster spot and a two-way spot. There is no place for him on the team. I know that he is a good guy and is nice and all and i'm rooting for him, but not on this team. He is jus too old, and doesn't bring anything that we need...he is not a vet or a promising player.
I agree with all of this. I hope he isn't brought back and the front office has scouted around to find guys that have potential long term future with the team.
I understand where you're coming from, but I think you're jumping too far with your conclusions here.
I think we'll all save ourselves some headaches if we give Lue a tiny bit of rope to work with. If he hangs himself, then so be it. But given the difficulty of coaching a LeBron team, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
So far, I've seen nothing but positives from how we've managed the summer league. I'm glad we didn't over play Cedi and Zizic against inferior competition. What LA did with Hart was embarrassing. Honestly. I didn't feel bad about losing to them at all. In fact, I'm glad we got out of SL with no injuries, and we learned a lot about all of the players we brought to SL.
I have zero negative feelings about the team right now, and I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for a little while.
yes, I dont see what he brings. But we cant fill the end of the bench with young players... those players need to be playing in Canton not sitting on the bench.
That is why I am great with signing Frye. We need a couple more like him. I think we need a vet pg so he is in place when Hill gets dealt
If you look at the lists of free agents, the market has pretty much dryed up. Not many good backup point guards left. I really thought we should have went hard after Napier.
I think if you got a guy like Aaron Craft, he would be fine being the 3rd PG that pushes guys in practice and get his shot when Hill is trade. He is seasoned enough from D-league and europe that he doesn't need to be in Canton. Deshaun Thomas is another guy like that, that I'd invite to camp. (Not trying to be a OSU Homer, its just guys that I've tracked and think they need a NBA shot before they age out.)
Furkan Korkmaz just gave an interview and said:
Cedi and I were supposed to have a dinner but he called me and said “I’m going to dinner with LeBron.” He bailed on me.
Lmao, a true friend.
I totally agree. All that I'm saying is that I'm willing to give Lue a 2nd chance in the post-LaBron era.As for Cedi, if Lue doesn't do right by him this year he needs fired. Kid can ball get him minutes.
