Channing Frye

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
All jokes aside, I am happy to hear this news. During the rebuild, there needs to be some quality veterans in this first year to help some of our rookies along. Channing Frye's contributions on and off the court in the championship season can not be underrated enough. Welcome home, Channing.

Really great signing. He's exactly the type of vet this team needs. Great locker room guy. Great guy in general. Great role model for our young guys. Won't create any drama, and he clearly wants to be here because he almost certainly could have signed elsewhere on a team that's guaranteed to be good.

Between him, Korver, and Love, this team has some actual quality veterans.

This is the type of signing the Cavs missed completely during their post lbj years. They traded or let walk all the positive locker room vets and didn't sign any in fear of them helping win games. Can't do that and expect young guys to learn how the NBA works.

That should have kept some guys like Ben Wallace and Anthony Parker just for their experience and work ethic.

Frye isn't going to win you games but he seems to love Cleveland and wants to be here. He is about the best locker room guy in the nba. Especially if RJ hangs around to do fso stuff.

Great news, missed him for a variety of reasons. Class act Channing is. Knows his role and doesn't wine. I'll bet he still lights it up upon occasion.

Under no circumstances should the Cavs have tried to keep Anthony Parker.
