Channing Frye

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is the type of signing the Cavs missed completely during their post lbj years. They traded or let walk all the positive locker room vets and didn't sign any in fear of them helping win games. Can't do that and expect young guys to learn how the NBA works.

That should have kept some guys like Ben Wallace and Anthony Parker just for their experience and work ethic.

Frye isn't going to win you games but he seems to love Cleveland and wants to be here. He is about the best locker room guy in the nba. Especially if RJ hangs around to do fso stuff.

They did keep Parker. They kept him for two seasons after LeBron left, then he retired.

Under no circumstances should the Cavs have tried to keep Anthony Parker.
Because he wasn’t a starter any more? I don’t remember him being a locker room problem at the end... a guy who worked his butt off to make the league then played within himself and was well liked and respected around the league... he was a constant professional.

I had no idea Frye was 2 years older than Lebron. I thought he was younger.

I’m drunk at my wife’s birthday party so I can’t articulate how happy I am that Channing is back. F@&$ yeah!

People have mentioned Korver's value as a shooting coach, but how about Frye in the same role? He developed such an accurate quick release in the middle of his career.

I don't know if I've ever been this fired up about a signing that may not spend much time on the court.

That's because you are a representative of the modern day Golden State fan. Basketball started with an elderly war veteran, ragamuffins with nothing else to do in the Jewish ghettos, a peach basket, and the year 2014.

Sincerely,

One of the pre-2014 Golden State ticket purchasers.
