Commodores is my cheesy suggestion named after Commodore Perry and the battle of Lake Erie. It is historical, doesn't sound weak, and Feller joined the Navy mid career... Cleveland already has a beer and monument of him.lets make this thread a little ligher, yes?

What about the Cleveland Alcoholic Savages?Commodores is my cheesy suggestion. It doesn't sound weak, named after Commodore Perry and the battle of Lake Erie, and Feller joined the Navy mid career.

DeadAnd we could use this as our mascot.
All the good nicknames are taken. Fuck this shit man.
I won't settle for shit like 'Thunder' that's cheese...
What did he do that would upset the snowflakes? What about the Cleveland Alcoholic Savages?
Love the avi.Chief Wahoo is a innocent caricature, he wouldn't harm a fly let alone a fellow Indian. Make sure we hold a funeral when the time comes and share stories of the past concerning anything Chief and how he affected your young life.
Certain individuals aren't invited.
I think your angle is spot on in regards to the trans bathroom issue, but i don't see it as strong here.I understand that the Chief may have had racist roots/tones at it's conception, and that is the argument to remove it.
I also feel that it quickly shifted to a symbol of pride in this community, and 99.9999999999% of people observe no racism at all when seeing and appreciating the Chief.
Alas, he is being fazed out now. And where there was no present day racism/negative feelings towards Native Americans associated with the logo's existence, moving forward there absolutely will be racism/negativity towards Native Americans in response to its removal.
Obviously this isn't right. Obviously I'm not saying this is a reason not to make the change. I'm just stating fact that there will be far more racism in response to this change than there has been in decades simply due to its existence.

..or you guys will continue to not win elections and people will fight back against idiocy. The fans that show up in redface and headdresses says otherwise IMO. Though that barbershop sign Max posted shows there definitely is/will be resentment toward Natives from some, which is asinine. But I think liberals will get most of the hate, in direct relation to this, as they have in this thread, which is fine. People will whine about how PC culture is ruining all of our great traditions and eventually everyone will either get over it or die.
