This is a cool logo:

Looks like a pointy dick head just as much as an arrow

Hate it unless we are changing our names to the Spiny Dicks in conjunction with this logo change

what's the point of this?
Just Mr. Orange doing what he always does

Making outlandish comments about entire groups of people then disappearing from the thread

Mr. Orange really doesn't get enough credit as an instigator. He's usually right there in the thick of the action

Ok urban how the hell does that not look like a cock? I'm sorry I pointed out the massive flaw in your dickhead design. I have no idea how that got through your marketing department

This is true. But people on my FB were rather pissed at Thome. Funny and also ridiculous.

Personal story from last month. I drive through New Mexico quite often and often find myself stopping at the same places every time. One of those road trips stops is the Dancing Eagle casino. Typically it's 99% American Indian in both staff and customers. I go there all the time because the chili sauces are incredible and the staff are great too. Anyway I saw one of the patrons, who of course was Native American wearing a Chief Wahoo hat. I made a trip to the can and thought I'd ask a security guard there what he thought of Chief Wahoo. He was in his 60's so he was an older generation. Like most from the older generation, I assumed a few things, and was wrong. He says most on the "The Res" (I've heard many use that abbreviated term) are free to select any team they want because New Mexico has no pro sports teams and as far as baseball goes, they follow the Indians and they wear the Chief Wahoo hat. He said by far the most popular team on the reservation is the Redskins, that's their team. I told him about the debate back home and he says nobody talks about it on the reservation. He said that they have problems like everyone else, paying the bills, getting a good education....etc. and that's their priorities. Side note, I also asked him about how they look upon a non-Native American marrying into their families and he said there are still a lot Native Americans that don't approve of it, but the younger generation are doing it. But if you do it, you do not become a member of the reservation nor receive their benefits.

I had someone flip out on me on twitter for buying a Chief Wahoo hat at lids for my birthday.

I bought it because...I needed something to remind me of home (now that I'm a tulsa resident), I am a life long tribe fan so it brings out the warm and fuzzies, and because this will be the last time that I will ever see that particular hat being sold.

I don't "support" the concept of chief wahoo as a logo, but I also view at as being something with a cultural connection to cleveland for better or worse. I wlll in fact, proudly buy new Indians merch in the future.

I pretty much got slurred as a racist, hating native americans and told to never wear the hat in public.

This was not told to me by anyone with native american ancestry (which I do have). Just a white dude who wanted to feel less guilty about himself.

When I responded that I (as someone who is native american) was more offended at how the country actually handles educating people about first nations people? I had this handwaved away.

Forget those assholes. Purely retarded.

It's weird how I went out in public today, in oklahoma and was met with
a.) indifference
b.) compliments

Like the guy I ran into today complimented me for getting the hat as we both looked at a Larry Doby comic. The discussion was more about sports and not this big political debate.

I don't know why, but how that guy handled me with my purchase bugged me and didn't seem to be from the real world.

They aren't from the real world.

They're from the land of pure social indoctrination.
