Chiefs dilemma

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Just watching this video, he makes some really bad decisions, but he also shows flashes of brilliance. I'm impressed with how quick he makes decisions to get rid of the ball. Then again, in this video he only had like 1 or 2 seconds to get rid of it, but that shows that alot of those sacks weren't his fault. The fumbles you can't have though, even though one was kind of a freak thing, but still. So I am impressed with how he gets the ball out so quick and his accuracy is pretty amazing, and he seems to handle pressure really well which I like. He was throwing that ball in a crowd or with pressure on him nearly every time, and he did a decent job of stepping up in the pocket. He just makes some dumb decisions.

Say you guys resign Bowe, you use McCluster to his strengths, and have Jamaal Charles. Your offensive line is legit.

Pair Reid with Geno's set of tools to work with. That offense could be sexual.

I like the sound of that. I might have popped a chub the way you worded that, but I'm not sure it will come together in a perfect world though. I can still dream though I guess. Potential is there.

One more point I would like to make.

People keep saying you guys should trade out of number 1 because the talent sucks. Do they not see the fucking paradox there? If the talent pool sucks, why the fuck would you think someone is going to want to trade up to #1? Defy logic much?

Good point. But maybe its to like get a future pick out of the deal or something. I don't know.

Well, they tried Romeo, Daboll, Quinn and Hillis. Now they are onto Shurmur, Heckert and Childress.

Next regime should be Palmer, Davis, Savage, Kokinis and Terry Robiskie.

It's Robinksie...

I think the Chiefs will win the sweepstakes to overpay Alex Smith. This will put K.C. in a prime position to win the annual NFL Champions of July.

If I'm the Chefs, this is what I do (top 4 picks):

1. Luke Joeckel, LT TAMU - The QB class is pretty awful. Grab your franchise LT, move Brandon Albert to RT (for good), and let Joeckel do what he does - pancake the shit out of people.
Other options: Geno Smith, Taylor Lewan, LT UM
33. DeAndre Hopkins, WR Clemson - Danny Watkins steals the show at Clemson (for obvious reasons) but Hopkins is an immense talent. With Bowe (probably) leaving, you need a WR. Hopkins isn't big but he can separate (as you saw against LSU). Love his game and skill set - reminds me of Blackmon.
Other options: Logan Ryan, CB Rutgers, Justin Hunter, WR Tennessee
63. Kasheem Greene, OLB/SS Rutgers - I really, really want the Browns to take Greene. Have a feeling me may sneak into round 2. Moved from SS to OLB, messed up his leg last years bowl game, and all he did was come back bigger, stronger and was named BEast DPOY. He adds speed to an already decent defense.
96. Jordan Reed, TE Florida - Andy loves him some TE's and Reed is an intriguing prospect. Reminds me a lot of Jimmy Graham coming out of college - tons of potential, physically gifted, just needs to play more. Did really well this year, all things considered (Florida not having a TE based system).

Role with FA QB this year (I'd take Matt Moore), draft your Qb next year, and you have a LT, WR & TE to pair him with.

This is exactly what I had in mind, I just didn't know the specifics. Thank you, great post.

One move could be trading for Brandon Weeden at qb. That is largely dependant on a few things. Browns are ready to move on, Tom Heckert becomes Gm with Pat Shurmur there in some capacity and Reid also liking Weeden.

Absolutely no way in hell that team trades for an immobile QB with Andy Reid coaching that team. Not gonna happen.

I think you mean Sammy Watkins. Danny Watkins is a guard for the Eagles :chuckles:

I'd take Alex Smith, but he reminds me too much of Cassel. Doesn't have many homerun plays and plays way too safe. That can fly down in San Fran when they have a great defense to back it up and win games for them. In KC, we need to have a more aggressive QB that isn't just a clock manager. We need to put points on the board.

If we had all the answers, we wouldn't be sitting 6 picks behind you.

Damage, I looked up a mock draft and they don't have Hopkins coming out til next year. It may be an old mock draft though, I don't know. Has he declared or is he allowed too? I'm not sure on all how the NFL draft works. I know more specifics about the NBA draft.
