Relax dude, chill on the calling everyone morons when they disagree with you.
Just to be clear... I wasn't just talking about this place. Twitter and radio talk shows were running with it. Maybe "moronic" is a bit harsh, but anyone who seriously thinks it's a good idea for a head coach to publicly demote his concussed starting quarterback in response to being baited by a reporter during a post game conference is a dumb-ass.

People hate Hue. To quote Hue, "I get it". People are looking for every opportunity to bury the guy. It's the football equivalent of Ty Lue. I'm not enamored or tied to either coach. I keep pointing out to sports fans that the owners and the players and pretty much everyone on the "inside" seems to support and stand by them, and they are all pretty content to ignore the rantings of the fans regarding these coaches. Which doesn't seem to matter in the least to those fans who spend a lot of time hating on said coaches.

Not really.

Ty Lue was our coach for the first and only championship for the Cavs, and is an above .500 coach in the NBA. He spent his only three years as a head coach coaching LeBron James, who necessitates playing a certain style of basketball. We all may disagree with some of the things that Ty Lue has done, but I think that he at the very least earned one year without LeBron to show if he can coach non-LeBron Ball.

Hue Jackson, on the other hand, won one game over two years as a head coach and was inexplicably given a third.

One of those is not like the other.

You completely ignored all the parallels that I laid out which are completely valid.

Both are "player's coaches". Both are well liked by management and industry insiders who know them the best and deal with them on a real level and on a regular basis. And both are reviled by fans whose main experience and connection comes through the TV set or computer, with no first hand interaction. These things are dead on.

Can anybody recall a Browns win that offered several rookies factoring the game?

Baker - best player on the field
Ward - the homer in you would say the 2nd best player
Callaway
Avery
Chubb
Harrison

Dorsey and company did a over the moon job. I don't give a flying fuck what anyone else says. This was totally unexpected because -- Browns. Obviously Corbett looks a bit cloudy, but he's going to get a shot eventually and perform well. Chad Thomas is underwhelming.

2012 our 5 wins came with T-Rich, Weeden - ok, more like he generally didn't actively lose those 5 games, Gordon, Schwartz, and Travis Benji playing key roles, with Gipson, Bademosi, Hughes, etc. providing some support.

RIP Tom Heckert - you weren't great but you were hardly the worst.

I think competent goes without saying, whether or not they’re good is something the jury is still out on for sure.

But it’s refreshing to at least look somewhat competent.

One step at a time.

Agreed, I need to see at least another draft plus a lot more football to know if they are good.

Wasn't Ifeadi Odenigbo the first waiver wire pick up overall after the 53 man cuts?

My guess is this won't be the only cut in the coming weeks from that d-line group that got picked up off waivers. I think the shake up at d-line was Dorsey biggest mistake so far. I'd much rather have Brantley, Nassib, and Meder right now. Dorseys evaluation of D-linemen looks like his weakness, hopefully he will realize this going forward and finds someone to help him with this.

His evaluation at other positions have been very very good though. I just hope we can find some more depth so we don't burn out Garrett and Ogunjobi because they have been monsters so far.
