Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bill not getting the absurd trade offers he hoped for, perhaps

:chuckle::chuckle::chuckle::chuckle::chuckle::chuckle::chuckle: His tats look like an off-brand Affliction shirt from Wal-Mart. Love how the collar is low for when he's working in sales in a few years.

I will be calling A.J. McCarron white trash Moanu or W.T. Moanu for the rest of the offseason... and sadly he might be the most realistic option if Garoppolo is truly off the table.

I feel like Kapernick is a more realistic possibility. And it makes me sad.

As a witness to the 49ers vs. Bears game this last season, it just can't happen.

"Facing a 24-6 deficit in snowy Chicago, Kaeperick was benched midway through the fourth quarter. He completed just one of five passes for 4 yards. Kaepernick had 20 rushing yards on six attempts, but was sacked five times on the day."

Worst quarterback performance I've ever seen...

Aaaaaaaand the Patriots just forced the "market value" into more than a second rounder.

Offer the 12 and whatever else they want. If they still want to keep him then so be it, because he's really good.

Color me depressed if they don't actually make him available though. I'm just not at all excited about the QB crop or the ability of our front office to find one.

Garoppolo's market value hasn't changed at all, if a team is desperate enough to give the Pats a 2nd rounder he'll be traded.

#12 and "whatever else they want" is a mind-numbingly bad overpay.

He'll be traded for more than 1 2nd rounder

It is probably in the Patriots best interest to trade Garoppolo now given the financial commitment they have to him a year from now and his trade value at present time. It's possible they keep him but IMO it's more likely they trade him. This appears to be a leverage play to increase offers that are currently on the table.

I doubt the Browns are offering the #12 pick for him. However; if that is on the table it's more than likely #12 and either a mid round pick this year or a conditional higher round pick next year (2nd or 3rd) for Garoppolo and the #32.

I would be stunned if a deal happens and it's a straight 1 pick for player deal.

I don't see McCarron as a realistic option for the Browns at all. If he's any good, why would the Bengals give us a franchise QB?

I would be more worried if we were successful in trading for him because that means the Bengals got something of value for a player they don't see having value.

Off by a round, and at least five teams are without question desperate for a quarterback. I'm going to go ahead and suggest that of the NFL world outside of three posters on RCF and a handful of Browns fans are saying the same market value... it's time to explore outside of the bubble.
