Cleveland Indians @ Boston Red Sox August 1st, 2nd, 3rd

I don't know much about him either.

Head > Kearns

In that case, I'll take Head... thats what he AND she said. But in all seriousness the dude's been tearing it up in AAA all season and at this point were in a little too deep in the season to be giving him starts, especially considering he has no real future here, but seeing Kearns in the lineup makes me instantly pissed. Especially when he plays at home bc I know I have to hear that annoying ass country song 3-5 times when he comes up to bat.

I think Head will come up in September when the roster expands, but since choo is coming back soon i doubt we would call Head up just to send him back down.

Since he is not on the 40 man roster, I doubt he'll be up.

They need to DFA Kearns and Duncan and call up Head. What's the point of having Duncan in the minors?

Tony Lastoria breaks down why Head hasn't and probably won't be coming north this year:

The pop numbers are nice, but if you can't work a count at AAA and you also strike out a ton, you are gonig to get eaten alive at the bigleague level. AAA is full of hitters like him. And just like Cord Phelps proved vs. Orlando Cabrera, YES, the youngster can be worse. The Tribe's replacement for Kearns is going to have to come through trade.

Despite a fantastic statistical season, the cranky side of David Ortiz surfaced again on Thursday night.

In a year that has seen the Boston Red Sox slugger battle pitchers from the Orioles and blame the media for being hit by the Yankees, Ortiz didn't try to hide his emotions after Fenway Park's official scorer removed a RBI that Ortiz was initially given after an opposite-field single during Wednesday night's game.

In fact, Ortiz was so angry about the reversal that he interrupted manager Terry Francona's pregame press conference on Thursday with some loud expletives.
