Chisenhall isn't ready. The guy in the minors that the team needs back is Hafner. Kipnis is probably next in line for a callup, he is hitting his stride again. I would also like to see Jared Goedert get a chance, too- he is on the 40-man so they should take this time to see what he can do.

The Tribe during this skid has been as horrible with RISP as they were great with RISP during their opening season run. Hopefully tonight is a sign that tide is shifting; if this club can simply get off that see-saw then they can put up enough runs to give the pitchers a chance. For all the whining, kicking and stamping of feet, the team's pitching has stayed pretty solid apart from Fausto and they have the talent to be a .500 club from here on out. Now they just need to close this one out here and work on getting back on track.

R Perez use to be used for two innings if going well. Why the hell do you take him out after one inning? He could have pitched the 7th, and bring in Pestano for the 8th. I don't get it.

Can't really afford to use one of your better relief pitchers for 2 innings with a day game tomorrow.

You take him out b/c he only threw 15 pitches and this keeps him available for tomorrow. If he throws two innings here, after pitching yesterday, you pretty much guarantee he is not available for the next two days. Also, he has thrown more than one inning in 7 of his 29 appearances- not really an established pattern of multiple innings.

Pestano's job was to get Magglio and bring in Sipp for the lefty Avila. On an unrelated note, if Chris Perez ever gets bounced aroudn enough to lose the closer's gig, I would have to think that Pestano is next in line. Also, have to wonder when they finally give up on Herrmann or Durbin and give Putnam his shot or give Josh Judy a try.

Annnd Sipp goes and walks the guy he needed to get. Jhonny looks like he got that one out on the end of the bat, bit of a break there...

It's nice to see that Perez seems to have gotten his filthy stuff back. He's been unhittable in his last 2 outings. It's also great to see Choo finally have some good at bats.

It's amazing how dominant our bullpen has been this year. Now if this offense could keep up what they did tonight we would have something but you can't depend on Orlando Cabrera for offense so who knows. Glad we're tied up again.

Wow. The light finally went on for C Perez. He found that slider that's been missing for the most part until his last save and now this save. Along with locating his fastball, he's almost unhittable. Great to see.

Choo all the sudden looks comfortable. He didn't flail away at bad pitches. He had quite a few really good swings.

Now Brantley is struggling. Is it a coincidence he starts his slump after moving out of lead off?

I for one didn't expect to see 1st place this soon. Carmona at least kept us in the game and actually pitched okay after the 1st inning.
