Cleveland State thread: 2010-2011

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
currently 8-0

Where does Norris Cole rank amongst prospects?
Dude has gotten better and better every year. He's 6-2 and has good length.

Draft Express ranks him 42nd of Seniors. Going to a School like CSU wont help him in the draft, it just how it works. Ive seen some of his highlights, he seems to be flying under the radar. He seems he is one of the most steady and consistent floor generals in the senior class.

Been meaning to get to this thread and keep forgetting. Love this development.

Too bad CSU doesn't get that much exposure in the greater cleveland area. Wish STO or someone would pick up their season.

They won again today btw, Cole had 26 points.

9-0 on the season, 1-0 in horizon league play.

We got 2 votes in the AP Poll for top 25 last week, lets hope for more this upcoming poll!

The only way Norris Cole can really get into the draft picture is if CSU makes the dance and he plays really well (see Cedric Jackson) if not, he'll be playing pro ball in Australia with J'nathan Bullock.

But with Butler already playing poor, the path is open for CSU!

Winning at UWGB is not easy at all. It's early, but it looks like they could have a team capable of making the tourney.

They now have 13 votes in the AP poll, about 5 spots away from the top 25.

Little blurb from Mid-Major watch via ESPN:

Cleveland State (10-0): Norris Cole is putting up player of the year numbers with 21 ppg, 4.3 apg and 4.9 rpg. Cleveland State is 2-0 in the Horizon League after sweeping Green Bay and Milwaukee on the road. CSU will visit West Virginia on Dec. 18. Stay tuned.

Man, I am so pumped. Cole has really developed into a phenomenal college pg. The kid has tremendous size and can just flat out score. He's cut out his 3 point shooting, which isn't a strong suit (leaving the 3 bombs to Harmon and Montgomery). If he keeps it up, he should certainly get drafted, at least in the high-mid 2nd round.

They've already beat Kent (7-2 and usually puts up 20+ wins). WVU & Sam Houston will be tough tests, especially on the road.
If they can get to the tourney final with about 24-26, they should get an at-large, especially if the beat WVU & Butler.

Which im not pleased about. We played a bad game.

Now 11-0.. CSU even got a shout out from Dick Vitale on ESPN during the MSU-Cuse game.

Btw, Cole had 25 points, 5 dimes, 5 steals, 3 boards and hit on 4/6 3's.

Also, CSU is No. 17 in the most recent RPI rankings

I go to CSU and around campus there isn't a whole lot about the basketball team and how their doing I had no idea they were undefeated until I saw this thread. Only thing I see around campus are posters with the schedule on them.
