Cleveland VS San Antonio

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
"I don't care if it's a leather ball. I don't care if it's a composite ball. I don't care if it's a watermelon..."

Wha..wha...whaaaat? Did anyone else hear the tv guy say that in reference to DJ?

well we looked pretty darn ragged at times offensivly but damnit if we didnt play some damn good defense

BTW watching Eric Snow play offense is possibly the worst painful expierence of my life

You're gonna tell me Mike Brown is making this team better when these idiots cant hit their FT's at THE END OF THE GAME???!!!

What is this guy doing at practice?

Youve gotta be kidding me. We cant hit FT's and who the FVCK is guarding Parker right now????

jesus we suck at Free Throws soo bad

and di you all hear Austin givein it to Eva Longoria...that was kinda funny

i dont really know if you can blame Mike Brown for free throw troubles at the NBA level. The only saving grace is, even though we're the 2nd worst free throw team in the league (69.5%), we're 4th best in free throw "defense." That is, our opponents also shoot crappy (73.3%) when playing against us for some reason. Maybe the rims at the Q dont like the new balls or something.

Missed free throws has nothing to do with Brown.

Good win.

Any win vs San Antonio gets classed as a good win, despite the ugliness.

Larry sparked us, Damon chipped in, Z and AV worked tirelessly and LeBron did some nice things.

Mike Brown outcoaches Popovich. Flat out beat them at their own game. Spurs panicked when they fell behind. Couldn't run the floor with us.

Poor FT shooting, but great help defense all game long.

Funny. Z was blocking shots tonight!!! It makes a huge difference when he challenges those shots. The rejections were a joy to behold.

Bad game for Manu tonight. He missed open shots.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

jesus jigo.... you found a way to make player's missing their own free throws mike brown's fault. you can't coach a guy into not freezing up under pressure.

how do you adequately even simulate those conditions? nothing he does in practice short of physically harming them (russian roulette when they miss anyone?) is going to recreate game time pressure

I loved it when Austin said Andy has one of the very best floor games in the entire NBA. Following it up with the claim that by the end of the season he thinks Andy will be the MVP of the team. Good stuff! :weirdo:

"Austin...that's what DJ told me. I don't care if it's a composite ball, a leather ball, a chitlin', a Cadillac, or if I'm Ghost riding the whip on the hood of my decked out Hummer with 3 ho's in the back. I'm gonna hit that shot"

God. Make Mcleod stop.

Moo

Nice win and great defensive effort tonight. May have been the best D the Cavs played all season.
Overcame some pretty pathetic offense. Luckily enough perimeter shots were hit in the 4th.
It would be great if Hughes could shoot like he did tonight on a fairly regular basis.

Solid job inside for Z and AV. I thought Z was very good tonight other than missing a few open perimeter shots.

Snow also very good defensively tonight. Didn't do anything else but at least his D overcame that tonight.

Beating the Spurs is great but it doesn't mean as much if you go out and lose to Boston tomorrow or lose another very winnable game coming up. Hopefully the Cavs have learned from their earlier losses in those situations.

if only Larry would play close to what he did in the 4th all of the time how much better would we be

why is it that I was truly surprised when our most expensive player acually has a big quarter....I was shocked to be honest....

he doesnt have to score 13 every quarter like tonight but why cant he score 20 points a night and shoot closeer to 46-48%

why?????

if he figures that out then we may have figured our offensive problems out

Hah! Can you say prediction? Just a couple Spurs points off...

Anyways, it seems like a good defensive game tonight. I'm very glad that Hughes stepped it up big, let's hope he can maintain his health and continue playing at a high level. If he can do these two things, not breaking his hand or finger, not twisting his ankle or spraining his knee, our team should be on the way up to where we're projected to be.

On a side note, Mike Brown might shape his whole season around Spurs games. He seems to turn it up every time we face the Spurs, he has a 3-1 record against them now.

I went to my first cavs game this year today :D and it was awesome...

Watching LH hit that 3 with an and1 was sweet, then I think he did it 2 more times(only 2pt shots though)...

I still don't understand why boobie only played a little bit in the 1st...and then eric snow played 20+ min. and scored a wopping 1 pt...

Helluva weird game but nice to come out with the win. It was the D, no doubt, but getting to the line helped - we shot terribly, but we got plenty of attempts. Thanks, of course, to a few technicals. :chuckles:

When's the last time Pop just got his ass tossed like that?

I think you gotta have Mike Brown share a little of that blame for the FT shooting. It's a combo blame, here. No one comes out smelling like a rose. He needs to fire them up about it.

Z's box won't show quite the game he had.

Mercilessly boring until the 4th. Classic Spurs.
