I thoroughly enjoy your blatant exaggeration towards the injuries of Len, Noel and AB. Like these guys are pioneering a new frontier of injury rehabilitation and they run a risk of retirement or something.

When possibly scoring 14 PPG and giving 100 percent effort make your list of why a guy should go number one, he probably shouldn't go number one.

If you're expecting Len to break 14 PPG any time soon, I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

You're borderline trolling at this point. If we only drafted players based on PPG, we would have a terrible team.

Stephen's arguing against Porter based on his PPG. I'm saying that Len's no better in that department. How am I the troll here?

Stephen responded to a post that talked about Prince averaging 14ppg in his prime. You responded by bashing the possibility of Len not reaching 14ppg any time soon.

I don't know if I would call it trolling but those kinds of posts (esp. when apples and oranges) are annoying.

This thread allows for people to praise and also criticize Otto Porter...

I think Otto Porter is as Wizards bound as Bradley Beal was.

I would love the cavs to draft a center of the future just not sure it should be one that has had a knee or ankle surgery, I'm not a doctor or a rehab person but anytime you have surgery I know that it is something you do not want have done so the injury is not minor. So if you do not draft either top center who do you go for?

I actually think they'll go for Anthony Bennet instead. They need offense in all spots 3-5, and Bennet presents more upside than Porter in that area.

If the Wizards were smart, they'd take Len or Bennett. I've had Porter at 6 to the Pelicans for a while and I still see that as his best landing spot.

If I came off as being that harsh, I apologize. I did my best to make it clear that I was only stating my opinion. My point was that if you think we need to add scoring, neither Porter nor Len is a good short-term solution to that problem. Len averaged 12 points per game in college. He's coming off ankle surgery. He's going to face more physical defense in the NBA. I think saying he won't reach 14 points per game any time soon is a very reasonable assessment, but maybe I'm just crazy. Would I have been better off saying I don't think Len will reach 14 points per game in his prime either? Maybe, because that would make it an apples to apples comparison, but I'm not going to make my point with an argument that I don't believe in myself, so I simply said "any time soon."

More than anything, I'm annoyed that it's not even possible to have a normal conversation in here without Stephen butting in with a snide remark at every opportunity. He's not just criticizing Otto Porter. He's ridiculing anyone who supports him, and I'm sick of it. But you all clearly value whatever contribution he's making to this discussion far more than what I'm doing, so I'm outta here.

I like porter, but yeah it doesn't seem like he's a future all star, but you never know. People said the same about Rudy gay and Russell Westbrook. Actually it's probably been said about every all star

Rudy Gay isn't a very good example because he's quite mediocre and IIRC Westbrook was considered raw and a bang or bust prospect, but had a ton of potential.

Rudy Gay hasn't been an all star and is extremely overrated. Westbrook is a very different type of player and athlete than Porter.

Use the Ignore List if you don't want to deal with a particular user. Making snide remarks about a particular draft prospect or about comments that support a particular draft prospect is nothing out of the ordinary this time of year. The Mods will step in if someone goes too far.

How does Porter compare to Harrison Barnes? Are they different players?

I think Porter scores VERY well in metrics similar to the ones the Cav's front office likes.

it was a little more than just scoring 14 point and giving a 100% or did you think playing 82 game for 6yr straight and being NBA All-Defensive Second Team 4 yrs in a row is nothing.
I have no idea if any of the player drafted this year will be stars nor does any of the GMs. my point is that in a year that has no true #1 pick, getting a player that fits your needs and would most likely be your starting SF is not a bad pick. you may not agree but that is ok.
