Wow, that is great! You're spot on with the 70s vibe, that's exactly what they were going for. Especially with its lume at night, definitely looks like an old school speedometer.
Which is timely since my car just has one giant curved screen now.
I opted for the director's cut because of that funky metal band and they only made 175 of the that reddish orange color (still glows blue). For the director's cut they did make an all black but I have too many black dial watches. The other one is blue and yellow which definitely does not match with my OSU degree.

Talking to me? It's a 2023 BMW 330e with the M sport package. Has the sporty feel while dragging around a brick battery. But the real question still hangs out there. What's the car?
Very nice, can't go wrong with BMW.Talking to me? It's a 2023 BMW 330e with the M sport package. Has the sporty feel while dragging around a brick battery.
Don't do this. This is almost certainly a stupid idea. Looking for people to obliterate it.
I want to make my own 1 oz silver coins.
I want to get the silver from garage sales, generally looking for sterling silver random stuff.
I want to melt it and then separate out the pure silver and pour that into a mold. Ideally the molds aren’t cost prohibitive so we could do an RCF molded coin for example. 1 ounce .999 purity or whatever.
Downsides: I have 3 children 6-11 years old. I have no idea what I am doing. I have no supplies. I will probably burn myself or burn my house down.
Upsides: epic story.
Talk me out of it or talk me into it. I could also buy 1000 ounces of pure silver from the metals market, but there’s no value in that, and it’s $23k + a decent amount of other costs like shipping and processing and the like.
Please sh*t on this idea so I can throw it out.
Provided you know how to grade silver dinnerware etc., your better bet is to simply have a professional melt the silver down and strike the coins for you. This is almost certainly a stupid idea. Looking for people to obliterate it.

You did well! I don’t understand that you can’t mold bc like… silver has a melting point.Don't do this.
You won't be able to refine the silver and coins need to be struck, not molded.
Any silverware you find will likely be plated and worthless anyway.
The operation you have described is likely as dangerous as a meth lab.
(How did I do?)
This is not Right Thought. You could also murder people and steal their coins?
My man! Ok so sterling silver - is the plan to only have 92.5% custom silver coins or to get them to purify it? I am hoping you say the latter.Provided you know how to grade silver dinnerware etc., your better bet is to simply have a professional melt the silver down and strike the coins for you.
It is not hard to learn how to assess metals. Sterling silver et all are required by law to be marked and you can use a hand-held scanner to test the metal.
A professional jeweler can absolutely make the die for your coin, or you can send away for it to be done. Any design can be made from your ideas.
But the process of smelting and purification (you can avoid this step by buying only sterling silver and above) is complicated and expensive. Better to make friends with a smith that can do that part for you.
