Corey Coleman

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

That’s pathetic. We really couldn’t have tried to pump up his value in pre season at least?

Just makes you wonder what we, the fans, don't know about Corey.

Zegura is great at what he does, but he has defended close to, if not every, Browns move since he's been in his position, including under the last regime.

Right. I agree. I should have just posted Michael David Smith's tweet as that's what is salient.

Because he’s the mouth piece for the organization. Everything he says should be taken lightly.

I mean, they traded him for a 7th rounder. I dont think it's crazy to say the guy clearly was not respected or well liked by coaches or teammates.

Hes been on the block for nearly 5 months.

Even if you ignored giving up on young talent when you've lost 31 of your past 32 games (it shouldn't be ignored, but I will just for the sake of this post)..

As others have stated, if the end game all along was to just dump him, then..

A.) Why give him starters reps in practice

B.) Why not TRY to increase his value.

You could always trade the guy for a 7th round pick anytime.

If not, does it really matter if we don't get that 7th round pick?

If he doesn't have the worst attitude imaginable (I'm talking way past "lazy", "bad attitude", etc), this makes zero sense to me.

Corey Coleman is a strip club rat, and can’t even do that well... dude broke his hand in a fight at the tittie bar. Good riddance. Best of luck in Buffalo, where the bars close at 4 am.
What's the source/story on this?

Also...if you want sad...

Higgins actually out produced Coleman last year so really they aren't missing much

If there’s one upside to Joe Thomas retiring, I feel like it’s the fact that we’ll get tidbits and insider perspectives on issues like these from the self-proclaimed #1 Browns fan in the league. The organization is going to be diplomatic and the media will make their assumptions but I’m hoping a guy like Joe provides some kind of explanation that helps us understand why/how a first round draft pick gets moved for a 7th after 2 weeks worth of starter reps in training camp.

When they were both available, Coleman was the better receiver.

True, but they were close.

Coleman was doomed by poor QB play, poor team building and no leadership.

Too bad he is getting those exact problems in Buffalo too. Guy has no chance there.

He did so playing 6 more games than Coleman. 1.8 catches per game for Higgins for 21 yards. Coleman 2.6 for 34.

Higgins has had exactly 1 good game in 2 seasons. I am not ready to crown him a viable #4 WR after one good game vs. Pittsburgh and reports of good chemistry with a good college quarterback against the 2nd team defense. He's a replacement level WR at best until there's more than 1 measly game film suggesting otherwise.

And don't look now but Hollywood Higgins is now actually our #3 WR, because Josh Gordon hasn't walked back through that door yet. And that's gifting a rookie (Callaway) the #2 spot.

Callaway will be better than Coleman ever was or will be. Told you guys that on draft night. A true 1st round talent.
