Well, they better get used to being offered a bag of shit. Demarcus Cousins is not worth much more. It's not like he's going to be headlining a Dwight Howard three way deal or something.
Honestly, his value is probably somewhere inbetween where I have iut and where you and Triumph have it. I don't think it's impossible to find that perfect medium, but that's what trade negotiations are for.

AV's contract is extremely fair and not even long. It's a good contract to have.
Think about it, the perfect move away from a guy like Cousins is a good guy/defensive stalwart/fan favorite/hard worker with playoff chops who can come in and provide frontcourt stability to a team with a lot of talent.
I would feel bad jettisoning Andy off to play with JJ again though :chuckles:

not that I think they'd want AV for reasons noted above - he's too old. but I don't think his contract would be what prevents it from happening.
you know there is a minimum team salary requirement, right? one that increases next year? the kings can have all the young players they want, but in the end they still need to be above the salary floor one way or another.

Well, they did pay Gordon/CV/Prince how much money again? I don't think it'd really surprise anyone to see them move their 2012 1st with minimal or even no protection for a guy they were/are supposedly real high on.

I have a real itchy feeling that Grant wouldnt force the issue on getting Cousins but the kid is probably the one center in the league that can fit perfectly with Tristan and is young enough to grow with our team we are building.

Call me crazy but I don't want that piece of garbage anywhere around our young hard working rookies. Thompson and Irving seem to be on the correct path attitude-wise. Cousins was a problem in college, has been a problem in the pros, and has taken his issues to the extreme according to Sacramento. He's a loser and always will be a loser in this league until he wakes up and changes his attitude, which for a guy like him, may never happen.

Kyrie, TT, Cousins, and Gilchrist/Beal/Lamb would be real sweet going into 2013. still don't think the Cavs can get him without giving up more than AV + filler, but I can dream...

As I said earlier, making this public doesn't really make sense for them if they are actually going to move him. I'm not denying what you said but he is on a team full of chuckers and his coach obviously let's them shot as much as possible. I'd be kind of mad too. Kids talented and if Grant doesn't entertain the idea then it's a list opportunity. And we need a player who is tough and won't back down from anyone.
