So winning some games(which is a lot more fun for us fans) isn't all that bad, even if we end up with the 2nd or 3rd worst record.

This I agree with. I never root for losses anyway, regardless of the situation.

For example, a team like the Bucks certainly is better then the Cavs right now, but they're stuck being mediocre, thanks to those crappy contracts like Gooden's etc.

The Bucks got their fair share of lottery picks and had elevated to a 46-win team. Gooden, Maggette, and Salmons aren't dragging them in to mediocrity ... they're actually helping the Bucks get back in to the lottery - albeit I don't think that was Hammond's intention.

This is a very common outcome of hitting the draft lottery.

Having been on the other side of these types of wins so many times for the past 5 years, yeah, I'd say it's to be expected. Seems every season the worst teams in the league will knock off the best.

I wish it was a sign of things coming together ... that the team is learning the systems, has dedicated itself to D, and has re-gained the confidence lost after the Heat game, but I don't have my hopes up. I'm thinking we might get back to normal at least and finish off the season a little more respectably. The losing streak definitely was an anomoly.

The lakers obviously did not play up to their potential, but I was encouraged to see the team swarm and play good D last night, which they did not even really do against the Clippers. They really used their athleticism against an older slower team. All of the steals really fueled their confidence and Defense. I am not saying they turned the corner, but it was not just a case of the Lakers playing poorly. Holding the lakers under 100 after the beatdown last time is pretty impressive.

It just begs the question: which game will be more representative of the rest of the season? The Lakers when the Cavs showed terrific effort and intensity? Or the Wizards game when they couldn't be bothered?

Most likely neither ...

Still, owning the leagues worst record does not mean winning the lottery, as most of the times you do not win it with the worst record.

Cavs shot 52% from the floor (59% from 3) and still lost. They were out-rebounded 57 to 37.

I refuse to make a negative comment towards Dwyer untill we actually get over 12 wins. A 21 game losing streak is not out of the question here, this much we know.
