When you have two playmakers already in the starting lineup, you are going to have to have guys that can knock down shots. This is why Sarus was such a great fit. His ability to make the outside jumper makes him more of an appealing choice. But face it, Sarus or the Cavaliers are playing mind games and I am starting to feel the Sarus hype fading away. And with the current offer from Indiana, it is being more and more likely that it's either playing for the Pacers, or its back to Europe.
AD is the best PG in the market, no way we can outbid any of the teams that are dying to have him. We lucked out with Larry Hughes, and we (sorta) overpayed Z. That doesn't leave us alot of room to get Antonio Daniels really. But who knows, I'm just speculating.
The Mouse is 32, looking to win. He has been in a crappy organization for his entire career. He is a shoot 1st player, because he is confident in his offensive abilities. We are looking for someone who is complete opposite of Eric Snow, someone who isn't afraid to score. Someone who can take it to the rim and draw contact when everyone else is settling for outside jumpers. Someone who can hit that 3 ball, and Damon is well capable of doing that. As a matter of fact, he shoots the three better than anyone on our roster, you can't complain about that since our main objective is finding a shooter.
I think some of you might be a tad harsh on Damon. He wears black and red and now scared for life because of it. Any player coming from the Blazers orgination is not going to get respect.
If we miss out on the Sarus hype, Damon is well capable of being our scoring PG that we are drooling for.
