Damon Stoudamire time

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When you have two playmakers already in the starting lineup, you are going to have to have guys that can knock down shots. This is why Sarus was such a great fit. His ability to make the outside jumper makes him more of an appealing choice. But face it, Sarus or the Cavaliers are playing mind games and I am starting to feel the Sarus hype fading away. And with the current offer from Indiana, it is being more and more likely that it's either playing for the Pacers, or its back to Europe.

AD is the best PG in the market, no way we can outbid any of the teams that are dying to have him. We lucked out with Larry Hughes, and we (sorta) overpayed Z. That doesn't leave us alot of room to get Antonio Daniels really. But who knows, I'm just speculating.

The Mouse is 32, looking to win. He has been in a crappy organization for his entire career. He is a shoot 1st player, because he is confident in his offensive abilities. We are looking for someone who is complete opposite of Eric Snow, someone who isn't afraid to score. Someone who can take it to the rim and draw contact when everyone else is settling for outside jumpers. Someone who can hit that 3 ball, and Damon is well capable of doing that. As a matter of fact, he shoots the three better than anyone on our roster, you can't complain about that since our main objective is finding a shooter.

I think some of you might be a tad harsh on Damon. He wears black and red and now scared for life because of it. Any player coming from the Blazers orgination is not going to get respect.

If we miss out on the Sarus hype, Damon is well capable of being our scoring PG that we are drooling for.

Mr_Infante you beat me 2 it!!! I agree with you 100%! He is looking to win now. He's 31 almost 32 and he hasn't made a big bang in this league. I'm positive that he knows he will be a huge role player for us and nothing more. I'm positve that him knowing that we have a inside presence in Z and gooden(mostly Z) and the presence of Lebron and hughes will open things up to make him a better shooter than he already is. He knows he will be good for this team and he isn't a little kid anymore and finally he will have talented players around him to make a big bang and thats what he wants. He has said it over and over that it's time for him to win and thats why he thinks being in cleveland playing with lebron is very very tempting for him.

He might have been a jail blazer but lets forget about that! remember he's older and he isn't looking for big money because he won't get it. But you better believe he will try to play for a winner this time around unless some1 throws a silly offer at him.

he's not my first choice but to think he won't be a good fit for this team isn't true... hughes and lebron both handles the ball well and we have Snow. Damon isn't a bad ball handler either which makes it even better. Infact I put him up with vicious because atleast mighty mouse is proven right now.

I'm just harsh on Damon because like I said, the team looked SO much better when he was benched and Telfair was in the game. If you're such a shoot-first guy that's so poor at leading a team that an 18 year old shows more leadership and unselfishness, you're simply playing the wrong position.

Mabey so. But wasn't Damon 2nd option as the scoring threat? I seriously don't know. I know that they have Randolf, but who else rather than those two can score on a consistant basis?

past couple years when his friends sheed and bonzi were gone personally i dont think he wanted to be there.we know he would come here if we gave him a decent offer.dont try and take advantage and offer lower money to see if he will take it because he will feel insulted then go somewhere else.he does want to win.past 2 years blazers have missed out on the playoffs,b4 that he was there every year he was there.his team wasnt good in toronto and then he had a few good years in portland and then he has forgotten what it feels like to win.he sees a bright spot in our team...but houston wants him too so we better watch out.

Well since Sarunas is going to the Hawks I'd like Stoudamire for cheap if I knew that "weed" wouldn't infect the team. What about being posted up all the time?

What? Since when was Sarunas going to the Hawks? I haven't read anything about this.

Link?

Exactly it's a bogus rumor so don't buy into it. our options should be Sarunas Damon AD..

I think DS would fit us. First off, we aren't really looking for a 'pure' point. What we have is guys in Lebron, Hughes, and Snow that can handle the ball in the halfcourt fine. What we need, as a team, is other offensive options ,,ie ..a shooter, for when Lebron is off the court, which I hope is about 13 minutes a game this year. We just imploded offensively last year whenever he left the court ...Damon gives us a guy who can create his shot and be a solid 2nd or 3rd option in the halfcourt. I like him better than SJ simply because he's NBA proven. He can assist in brining the ball up the court, and he can shoot and create offensively very well. Plays better defense than JMAC as well. Can panatrate and dish. He'd be a great fit ...and a veteran. He fits, plain and simple. I want this guy.
