The fact that we are not talked about as suitors in the Maggette sweepstakes probably bodes well for us. Whenever they speculate that we are in the running for a player we never get said player. That is the way Ferry roles

Me and Splitz are always down to performing on RCF. I've got the Barry White monotone and Splitz brings the Frankie Valle falsetto.

If the Spurs sign Maggette for the MLE then I will absolutely be pissed at our FO. I've lightened up on calling for MB and Ferrys head recently, but they are once again on thin ice with me for staying put with the coaching staff again.

Two summers in a row of sitting on the MLE would be strike 2 for me before the season even starts.

Clearly B-Diddy has the acting bug...

I think I sense some sarcasm here, but Baron actually was a film studies major at UCLA and invests a lot of his money in a film production studio. I think he has actually produced a few movies himself as well. A buddy of mine is an agent in LA and has done some work with Baron on this. Here's an article about Davis' film industry ties:

Knowing that Davis wants to enter the film industry full time upon retirement, plus the fact that he went to UCLA, is from LA, etc... it was a no brainer that he would end up in LA playing for the Clips.

Why would anyone be upset at Ferry for not getting Maggs???????

It isn't like he can offer him more than the Spurs... or any other team.

And, contrary to popular belief, he couldn't do a S&T with the Clippers for him!!!

The Clippers HAVE to renounce Corey, or they cannot sign Baron for the agreed-upon amount, if they want want to re-sign Brand. Even though Brand opted-out, he still counts against their salary-cap (as does Maggs - which is why they have to renounce him), so once they renounce Maggs, then they have the room to sign Baron. IF they did a S&T with the Cavs for Maggs/Varejao, then they cannot sign Baron.

So, the only way Corey comes to Cleveland, if if he wants to!

Ferry can try and convince Corey to come here, but ultimately, it is up to him.

Nothing Ferry can do about it.

That's a huge addition if the Spurs do get Maggette. He brings exactly what they've been missing. The Spurs every other year championship run could easily continue.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Cavs contacted Maggette. We'll never know with the secrecy of this organization. I can't fault Ferry too much for not getting him. Have to think Maggette would choose the Spurs over the Cavs at this point anyway.

Maggette misjudged the market a little bit. After the surprise of Baron Davis opting out Maggette wasn't left with much other than MLE offers missing out on the big payday he wanted.

I guess Ron Artest might still be an option but I was really hoping to shore up the 2 spot before the season...

again I repeat my feelings from the other day...we are really going to ave to wait till the trade deadline before we make our move IMO

and that sucks for us
