"The primary responsibility of the wing stopper is to guard the opposing team's best on-ball scoring wing".

You mean guys like Durant, Jason Tatum, and Giannis?

And Dean Wade is the NBA's best player at defending these guys? Wow.

No wonder we're not doing well when he's out.

My biggest concern with Dean is simply his inability to stay healthy. On paper, he's the ideal starting 3 for this team in my opinion. Low usage, hits open shots, and plays lights out defense.

He's a better DFS when he's on the floor. The issue is that he's not on the floor enough, and his injuries, if by nothing other than coincidence, seem to always occur after his workload increases.

Usage is among the lowest in the NBA. It’s too low imho. But this season he’s moving more and making threes other than catch and shoot. It was looking like he would take a step up in usage and scoring enough to be that starting three.

He played 63 of 72 games in the shortened season after Covid. Since then he’s played 51, 44 and 54 (so far) games at 19-20.5 mpg. That’s not a heavy load and nowhere near enough to be a consistent starter.

His coach was very unhappy at JBB if Dean got less than 20 mpg. Sadly he hasn’t shown he can even maintain that level before breaking down.

Hopefully he has better injury luck next season because I agree he’s a key part of this team.

Dean wore himself out in December/January. It was just to much for the guy

If I was a beat writer for this "team" and I hadnt gotten to the bottom of what is really going on with this guy my media outlet should let me go.
I am sure some of them know what is going on with him...

You post "them." I know there if Fedor who charges for his content but who else is there? In general it doesnt seem like the beat writer or writers is interested in providing any information to the public.

Is Dean Windler I mean Wade going to play again this year or is he done?
I think how he is listed for the next home game will be telling. If he’s a game time decision, even if he doesn’t play, it’s a sign he’s getting close. If we just get another “out”, I’m thinking he may be done.

He did not travel with the team. We should know tomorrow or Tuesday if he is with the team and at the gym...

We need to get @Comeback kid to improve on his rehab techniques because something ain't clicking..

Hello??? Hello???? Dean are you there???? The playoffs are starting.......

CAVS will draft a power forward in the first round-the guy is toast.

Was he even on the bench today? I never noticed him . If my statement/question wasn’t clear enough , I meant in street clothes.
