DeAndre Liggins Waived

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
word is that Dahntay Jones is coming back.

Jones didn't play D-League this year, indeed it's unclear if Jones played any kind of organized ball.

*Shrug*

Not like the Cavs have any pressing issues that might prevent them from adding another wing...

Jones is going to fix the Locker room? is that the notion?

Dahntay Jones would just be.....woo man. Comical.

But you still said IF they were going to waive someone that it should be Deron over Liggs. Which was a ridiculous statement considering we've got like 5-6 wings and 2 PGs, Deron being one of them.

Yes, waiving Liggins was surprising, but seriously who cares?! He's a 2.5ppg scorer that is not seeing PT in the playoffs. Some of the things people lose their shit over on here are ridiculous. As stated by another poster... can only imagine how some of you deal with actual tragedies and serious situations in life.

The only reason most don't care is ebcause Lue just decided to not play him. He could have been an important cog in the "system" and is very much a potential situational player if Lue sees fit(???). He was by far our best On/Off bench player and that says alot, especially since he was relegated to the blowout squad. At one point he had an On/Off of +5.

I could list at least 50, hell, maybe 100, eligible players that I would rather have than Dahntay Jones who hasn't balled since last year's finals.

:puke:

I had half-thought of posting that I thought waiving Liggins before the end of the season was a possibility, but sort of inspired by the Cavs I couldn't muster enough effort to do so.

Of course, my thought was that they would clearly sign a big, given that the team has just one playable guy to play center (and he's currently hurt).

Then again even if they did bring in a 4/5, Lue would probably go with a front line of LeBron/Jefferson before playing the new guy.

I know I would be in the minority here, but I would prefer Josh Smith... atleasg he has the potential to be a shot blocker and defender if his head is straight and is willing to do anything to get back to the NBA...

Larry Sanders, Josh Smith and JR on the same roster could rip a hole in the fabric of the time-space continuum.

That would probably be my biggest hesitancy in making that particular move. But hey... might be worth a shot?

There is risk... but how worse could it be with what we have now... maybe this team just need more crazies... as it is this team lack emotion and fire...

The Cavs have spent years trying to discover their 'identity.' If Jones is indeed Liggins' replacement, the Cavs will further cement their place as the most unpredicatable/unexplainable team in professional basketball.

It's kind of funny that outside of the Playoffs/Finals last year, this team was truly unlikable from top to bottom. Alas, 2017, where the team (a championship-winning team for that matter) might be totally unlikable all the way through.
