Derrick Rose: Outta Here!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
‘08 draft had so much potential..

Top 5
Rose
Beasley
Mayo
Westbrook
Love

Those top 3 ?? “Buzz, your girlfriend... Woof” !!!!!!!!
Beasley had LeBron type athleticism with a Snoop type pot habbit.

I must have blacked out during this time frame.
Or you simply don't get the meaning intended by "type," as in similar range. Obviously he's not equivalent to LBJ, nor does he have LBJ's bball IQ.

The anti-Rose crusaders don't want to admit this, but he would have been extremely useful yesterday. It's games like those...when FG% is ass and your better players are having a hard time in the paint, that Rose can come in off the bench and provide that dynamic.

He still scores efficiently at the rim and collects fouls, which would have been a godsend yesterday and could have been the difference maker.

Not advocating we reinvent the wheel for Rose if/when he comes back, but I still think he's a luxury that can fill a need, especially against our arch-nemesis.

I don't think that applies to anyone when playing the warriors. Ive felt that way for a few years now. I get the premise though.

Do you have any news? When should he come back?

Thank-you!!!

Once IT is back, Rose will probably be that 3rd guard off the bench. I can't see us playing him and Wade together much. Maybe Lue can stagger the lineups a bit to where if Rose or Wade are playing, they have shooters surrounding them. I agree with Jmoney, can't keep him buried on the bench once everyone is back.

All I know is if Rose comes back, and Lue tries to shoehorn him into the rotation like TT, and it doesn't work, I don't want to see any of the Rose defenders bashing Lue.

If Rose comes back, and even more, looks good, I hope we move JR to the bench, start Wade, and let Rose run the bench unit. At least as something to try.

An IT/JR backcourt would get murdered defensively.

When everyone is healthy, I honestly think you start Rose. Hear me out for second, we need as many horses as possible who can put pressure on the defense. Like JMoney said, he still scores efficiently at the rim and collects fouls. I say we let him loose to start the game. Let him penetrate and push the pace. It's the kind of move that may make Rose feel more engaged and valued by the team.

We know Rose and Wade can't play together. And we know how well Wade has flourished with the 2nd unit. If you're going to start Rose obviously you need to pair him with shooters, which is why I would start Korver. I feel like Korver needs more minutes with Bron and Klove now anyway, since we're not playing him with Frye. And obviously I'm all for anything that sends JR further down the rotation.

Starters:
Rose
Korver
Bron
Green
Love
  • IT/Crowder 1st subs for Rose/Korver
IT, Crowder, Bron, Green, Love
  • Wade/Tristan 2nd subs for Green/Love
IT, Wade, Bron, Crowder, Tristan
  • JR last sub for Bron
Bench:
IT
Wade
JR
Crowder
Tristan

I like the IT/Crowder duo playing together as often as possible which is why I bring Crowder off the bench and let a more consistent and bigger Green start in his place.

Our 4th quarter closing lineup would look something like:
IT
Wade
Bron
Crowder/Green
Love
