When everyone is healthy, I honestly think you start Rose. Hear me out for second, we need as many horses as possible who can put pressure on the defense. Like JMoney said, he still scores efficiently at the rim and collects fouls. I say we let him loose to start the game. Let him penetrate and push the pace. It's the kind of move that may make Rose feel more engaged and valued by the team.
We know Rose and Wade can't play together. And we know how well Wade has flourished with the 2nd unit. If you're going to start Rose obviously you need to pair him with shooters, which is why I would start Korver. I feel like Korver needs more minutes with Bron and Klove now anyway, since we're not playing him with Frye. And obviously I'm all for anything that sends JR further down the rotation.
Starters:
Rose
Korver
Bron
Green
Love
- IT/Crowder 1st subs for Rose/Korver
IT, Crowder, Bron, Green, Love
- Wade/Tristan 2nd subs for Green/Love
IT, Wade, Bron, Crowder, Tristan
Bench:
IT
Wade
JR
Crowder
Tristan
I like the IT/Crowder duo playing together as often as possible which is why I bring Crowder off the bench and let a more consistent and bigger Green start in his place.
Our 4th quarter closing lineup would look something like:
IT
Wade
Bron
Crowder/Green
Love
