The Cavs played a good one for 3 and a half quarters, but then they let the game get away from them. After some adjustment, it appeared that the turnovers and run outs were under control, but Detroit cranked it up a notch in the 4th and the Cavs didn't match. There was some decent D, but some really crappy decisions and more missed free throws let this one slip away. There were also some extremely bad calls (Chauncey shooting 3 free throws after not getting fouled after putting it up with his toe on the line). The lane violation on the Lebron free throw was something that is against the rules technically, but it happens all the time and in all the games I've watched, I've never seen that called on the shooter, especially on a made shot. Its kind of like when players change their pivot foot before taking a dribble outside the 3 point line, happens several times, just doesn't get called.
But yeah, what the heck is up with our 3 point "specialists?" Donyell just didn't do a whole lot positive. Jones I thought did some intangible things, was scrapping for rebounds, even playing some good D. Too bad he shot like crap. Also, the entire team looked a bit hesitant, passing up on shots they'd normally take and throwing bad passes instead.
This one wasn't a total blow out however, and if the Cavs continue to play this hard until the end of the season, then they should come out about where they started the all-star break in the standings.
