Dream Team 4: Golden State Warriors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Coward is back Saturday, can we borrow their HGH to even the odds?

Good. Just in time to fuck up the rhythm the others have developed in his absence.

Well, how is it any different from what LeBron did in 2011?

Well, whatever. I just don't see the nickname working in this case. If we were talking about Dwight Howard doing the same thing, the nickname would work just fine (since it rhymes).

We should come up with a better nickname that's fitting for such a p#$$y of a basketball player...

Sir Can't.

The difference is LeBron is in our team.
Alright fine. Even though it's been discussed ad nauseum what the differences are I'll summarize it anyway

LeBron
1. Didn't have a generational talent at PG in Cleveland

2. Didn't join the best team ever assembled

3. Left Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison

4. Didn't openly say that he was rooting for the Heat to lose the previous year so he could join them

5. Was clearly the best player on his new team

Durant
1. Left a player that was arguably better than him and tried to play it off like Russ wouldn't sacrifice

2. Had Steven Adams, Serge Ibaka, James Harden, Enes Kanter as supporting players in his time in OKC. Seriously he was spoiled with his supporting cast. The fact that Coward didn't win a championship is honestly pretty pathetic

3. Openly said he was glad the Warriors lost last year

4. said that he took the hardest route to a championship by going to the Warriors

5. Completely choked away a series. I mean seriously is the majority of the reason OKC lost to the Warriors. And then in one of the most anti-competition moves of all time goes to join them

6. Isn't the best player on his new team. I would honestly argue Draymond is more important than him. The team would have even odds at a championship without him. That's pathetic

All that said I still think LeBron's move was a bitch move. I forgave him, he came back, and now I like him. Doesn't mean I agree with what he did. But it wasn't even in the same stratosphere as what Coward did. Nothing is. That was the single most cowardly act that I have ever witnessed in sports. He has zero pride.

Seriously?

Durant joined a 73 win, Championship winning team that he blew a 3-1 lead to in the Conference Finals.

Not defending what LeBron did, but he formed a Championship team when he went to Miami. That team was stuck in mediocrity before he got there and they are stuck in mediocrity now that he's left.

The situations aren't even remotely similar and it's downright silly to suggest they are.

If LeBron did what Durant did he would have been crucified for the rest of his career no matter what he did.

But, LeBron is held to a different standard than anyone else in the NBA. If this stupid Warriors team wins 5 titles together I don't want to hear shit about Durant or Curry as a top 10 great or anything. LeBron is the only one left in this league right now that belongs in that place.

Kevin Durant is a coward. There is no disputing this claim.

I have a nickname for Durant whenever he joins LA.. DooDooRuntoLA. for GSW it's a bit trickier.. Larriors instead of LA? meh.

There seems to be a theme to this board of giving feminine names to players, like "Stephanie" so why not just call him "Katie" (KD) or Katie Perry or something.

I think Kevin just hates being criticized (see his recent comments re: Shaq and Horry) and would prefer to be liked. And so when he got the chance to play for what was the most liked team at the team, he took it. Whose not going to like the best player on the best team?

Ironic that since he's joined, the narrative has shifted away from the Warriors being the most liked team.

The narrative shifted last year. Most of the nation was rooting for us to beat the Warriors in the finals. Pretty much everyone was hating on the Warriors as much as we were

and in terms of importance to the Warriors I think Kevin is 3rd behind Curry and Draymond. I don't think Draymond is a better player than Durant, but I do think Draymond going down would hurt that team far more than Durant going down. I think Steph is just a better player than Durant
